*** The Next Day***

Y/N's POV

"The last time you asked me to wait for you, you ditched me1," I complain as I walk beside Cami to the gymnasium. My feet almost dragging themselves to that place.

I'm staying the night with Cami since Yuji is having a practice game with a school in Japan and they are staying there for two days so they can go explore the city. So I can expect a whole bunch of drunk messages along with some dra-

Whatever. I'd rather not think of what can happen.

Cami nags although she knows I will wait for her as I always do and not just because I need her help, she doesn't know that part though. "I know but I already told you, Oikawa and I, no longer a thing."

I would have to have Alzheimer's to believe her so-called break up. They aren't a thing, yet they act like one, that is when Cami is in the mood. It almost makes me feel bad for Oikawa, but it's his own fault for coming back to her when he knows there is going to be nothing between the two.

We stop in front of the volleyball gym and I quickly notice the lack of noise, never experienced that in my time being the manager. It's pretty quiet considering they should be thirty minutes into practice- there is no slamming of the ball, no yelling, no whistle-like voice Oikawa carries.

"I hope Coach Irihita doesn't mind you waiting inside," Cami interrupts my train of thought.

"Are you kidding me, the old hag adores me," I laugh, "I'm sure he will beg for me to join the tea-"

I stop mid-word when I catch a glimpse of the enormous-walking tennis ball. Kentaro.

He walks across the gymnasium carrying a cart filled with volleyballs while wearing the distinctive turquoise shirt he swore he would never use again. The same shirt I picked up from the floor when he went to throw it at Oikawa's face as he unofficially quit.

"I'll see you later," I say slowly while staring deeply into the figure, questioning if it's even him, but who else would have that hideous haircut.

I walk towards him and extend my arm to touch his shoulder but quickly drop it. We have had a couple of civil conversations and we text here and there, but I don't know if that means we are cool. With Kentaro, one can never be too sure.

He probably feels my presence because he turns around without me having to speak. There is his signature frown on his face that softens when he realizes who I'm.

"Hey, stranger," He says and smacks the back of my head playfully, I guess we are cool, "Thinking about going home anytime soon? I think they are starting to realize something is missing."

Lies.

His left eyelid slightly twitched.

He's worried, I can tell by the way he examines my body. If Iwaizumi was able to realize my crackhead appearance, Kentaro can too, after all, he's my brother.

"I didn't know you were playing volleyball this year," I avoid the question shifting all the attention to him, "The uniform suits you."

"I didn't have anything better to do."

Lies.

However, I'm not sure why.

"Did you miss it?"

"I missed the sport," He rolls his eyes when Oikawa begins to scream from the other court. I'm surprised he isn't hip-bonded to Cami like usual, "I'm starting to remember why I left."
