Callan Anders' POV

I excused myself to the in-suite restroom with an intent to leave. As soon as my best men were distracted nursing Bordeaux glasses of wine, I exited the suite. I had called up my crew last night to have them prepare my jet for take off today. I scheduled to meet up with Giselle at 11am at my hangar.

With sunglasses on, she stands awaiting my arrival as her hair rapidly blows with the wind.

"It's half past 11. For a moment I thought you had changed your mind," she says.

"Sorry. They were tight on me," I respond as we make our way into the jet.

Immediately, we take off. Later in the afternoon, we arrive in Florida. We check into a hotel before making our journey to the university. I took off my suit and changed into casual wear.

With Giselle in the passenger seat, I drive to Florida State university of Naples. My knuckles turn white due to the tightening of my hands around the steering wheel.

Giselle notices and ask's, "Are you okay?"

I breathe. "Yea. Just a little nervous".

She stretches her hand and squeezes my shoulder.

"It will be okay," she assuages.

Upon seeing the university, a knot in my stomach is formed. I park my car in the parking lot and just pull my head back to my head rest. I don't think I'm ready to get out of this car.... To see her. Earlier, I was so confident and excited about this but now I feel on the edge. I don't know. Something about seeing someone after a very long time is quite nerve wrecking. I just don't know how she will react.

For a moment, I feel like turning back and not going through with this but then again, I remember this was worth making my father angry by escaping a million dollar wedding. So, it would be a stupid move for me to go back to California without at least completing my mission.

"You know you won't be able to sit in here forever," Giselle says.

After some thought, I get out of the car and march into the institution with Giselle. We asked the front desk for Kashmere's dorm but they couldn't give us any information about her for privacy reasons. After several minutes of reasoning, they finally give in and give us her dorm number.

We head to block 5 and trudge through the hallway whilst keeping our eyes out for the door number.

"This must be it," Giselle says as we arrive at the door.

"You're going to knock?" I ask with the hopes that she would be the one to do so.

"C'mon Callan," Giselle urges.

I turn to the door and inhale a lungful of air.

Knock knock.

My heart thumps against my chest.

Once I hear footsteps on the other side of the door, I shut my eyes. I am not ready to face her.

The door opens and it's silent for a few seconds.

"Sir, are you okay?" A unfamiliar voice ask's.

I open my eyes once I realize it isn't Kashmere.

The young Caucasian girl before me has dark shoulder length hair and is big in size. She seems to be in her early 20s. She stares back at me in confusion as to why there is a man with closed eyes standing in front of her door.

"Sorry. This must be the wrong room," I apologize but Giselle cuts in.

"No, Callan. This is the right room," she says.
