Kate had spent her morning at the Salvatore home, since the Gilbert house was only holding two Gilbert's because she and Elena decided it was best for Jeremy to leave town, they couldn't risk Klaus not hurting him again.

School, Kate didn't think after witness death she'll be in school taping down colorful bows onto her best friends locker, for her birthday, with Elena helping her.

"Do you think Caroline saw her locker already?" Kate asked her twin, scanning down the hallway for the familiar blonde.

"I don't think so, she never gets to school this early." Elena mentions pressing down on blue bow with curls stepping back when Bonnie came to view.

"Hey, sorry I'm late." Bonnie Bennett held in her hands a board. "I, uh, I got held up."

"It's ok, we just got here, too." Elena says, ripping outa piece of tape. "Will you pass me the balloons?" She asked the witch, Bonnie reached down passing them down to her.

"Thanks." She smiles taping the balloons on top of the locker. "What got you running late?"

"I, uh, was working on some new spells." Bonnie says, nodding slowly. "You?"

"Working out with Alaric." Elena answers before they turned over to Kate who was struggling with the tape, until the tape snapped out from her hands into the ground.

"I, lost track of time." She pursed her lips. Bonnie smiles lifting the board with the words 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 on it. Kate takes it pressing the cardboard onto the locker.

"So, I,, I have something I need to tell you..." Elena began, Kate mood at once dropped, the news about Jeremy leaving town hadn't hit Bonnie.

"And you're not going to like it."

"What happened?" Bonnie jumped into consultation that something horrible had happened.

Kate caught Elena's eye nodding, she signs tuning back to Bonnie. "Jeremy's going to be leaving town for a while. He'll be staying with some old family friends in Denver until this whole Klaus thing blows over."

"Jeremy wouldn't just leave you to deal with Klaus on your own." Bonnie drew her eyebrows together, she knew Jermey wouldn't leave his sisters just like that.

"We know." Kate spoke stepping in. "I asked Damon to compel him."

"You what?" Bonnie frowns.
