// fade into you
— one hundred three

THE THREE GIRLS WERE hosting a friends giving dinner party at Whitmore since everyone else was had headed home for the holidays, they invited a couple people like, Jo, Liv, Luke, Tyler and Liam which was sorta going to be fun since Elena wanted to tell the guy that she is seeing that she is a vampire.

Kate was setting up the dinner table with Elena and Caroline where Elena was rehearsing ways to tell Liam that she wasn't human. "I'm a vampire." She spoke fumblingly.

Kate cocked her head. "I don't know, maybe a little less emphasis on vampire."

"I'm... a vampire." Elena repeated, hitting the word 'im', a little bit too hard. Caroline winced. "I mean, there's only so many ways you can say it."

"Well, Liam would stop digging into lady Whitmore's miraculous recovery, and you won't have to come clean." Caroline declared, placing a name tag on a plate.

"Or he'll keeping digging, realize that I forced-fed her my vampire blood, and then just bail." Elena replied, leaning against the back of a chair.

"You saved this girls life, he would see that as a good thing." Kate said, Caroline pointed at her, agreeing with her statement.

"Or, you know all of this can go away with one fell mind wipe." Caroline then said, coming closer to Elena.

"So lie and lie again and again and again."

"Okay, if you want to tell him the truth, I support you one hundred percent." Caroline exclaimed. "But if you're rushing into this to escape some conflicted feelings over a certain ex who just came back into your life, then I suggest you keep your fangs to yourself."

Kate looked past her shoulder to the dark haired woman who walked into the room. Elena turned around and smiled. "Jo."

"Hi." The woman smiled.

"Where's Alaric?"

"Don't kill the messenger. Something about an impromptu guys weekend." Jo replied making the smile on Kate's face fall. That why Stefan wanted to hitch a ride with Alaric and Damon.

Elena immediately left the room to call Alaric and beg for an explanation. Jo stepped down and Kate took the tray of cooked ham. "Hi, you must be Kate." Jo greeted.

Kate smiled, placing the ham over to the table of food. "Yeah, the one who came back from the dead." Jo chucked lightly, rubbing her hands together.

"I'll be back." Kate excused herself from Jo and headed towards Elena, listening to the end of her phone call. Bonnie was alive, when she and Damon left all her hopes of Bonnie being alive were shattered because she knew how manipulative Kai was and Damon made Kate promise that she wouldn't say anything about Bonnie because they truly didn't know if she was dead or alive.
