Kate joined Caroline on her quest to find the vampire antidote to rid of the virus currently inside Elena and Damon. "Do we have to make it if we don't find it?" Kate asked, they stood inside Wes's second lair inside a warehouse.
Caroline held her breath, looking through the dozens of plastic bins. "I really don't want to go there but I'll came back to you if we don't find it." She said, when she spotted Wes' recorder.
"I've managed to extract the werewolf venom from Nadia's Petrova's blood. The addition of the venom will make the ripper virus even more lethal to vampires."
"Oh, my god."
"Jesus."
Kate and Caroline stood close as they listened into the audio. "So, werewolves are real." A third voice spooked the two woman away from each other. "I was told that was just like, you know, a joke." Enzo laughed lowly. "I'm Enzo." He introduced himself, given that he's never formally met Caroline.
Caroline clicked her tongue. "The Enzo."
"No. The other one." Enzo smirked. Kate shoved her has into her coat, peering between the pair.
"All right, other Enzo. I don't know what it is you're doing here but I don't want any part of it."
"I'm here for the same reason you are. I want this vampire-feeding virus out of our lives."
"Why? You want your killing buddy back? Killing innocent people not as much fun when you're alone?" Caroline already knew she wasn't fond of Enzo, she just met him but given that he almost killed Jeremy and hurt Kate, he was already on her list.
"Right. Damon mentioned you." Enzo said, approaching the blonde. "Get a little judgy. Then again, he also said you had a thing for accents." Caroline glared while Kate pressed her lips together.
She sighed. "Just stay out of it. We don't need any more problems. Come on, Kate." Caroline said walking away with the human following after.
"Then you're not the least bit impressed that I have the antidote." Enzo spoke up, stopping the woman in their tracks.

Enzo had explained to the woman about the antidote and that they needed Stefan in order to get it. Kate immediately dialed his number, she really hoped he wouldn't ask why and would just agree.
"Hey."
"Bad news. It's not the same virus." Kate spoke the phone, Caroline and Enzo both listening in. "What is it?"
