Stefan Salvatore had proposed that he and Kate worked side by side to find the tombstone, Bonnie had Shane and Damon had Elena, they fit perfectly with each other, that night after many activities, they both sat in bed together talking about their plan for finding the tombstone, both came up with good ideas.

Kate woke up that morning flat on her stomach when she reached out with her hand touching Stefan side, the sheets were cold meaning he hadn't been in bed for some time, she exhaled hearing the shower.

With a low groan escaping her parted lips she stretched her arm, removing the blankets from her nude body, she stood in front of the long mirror many purple marks scattered across her body, mostly around her chest. looking around finding Stefan's button down on the ground she took it herself to cover her body.

Stefan wrapped his towel around his neck stepping out of the bathroom, finding his girlfriend laying across his bed reading a book, not just any book it was one of his old diaries.

"Found anything interesting." Stefan voice came out in a teasing manner, Kate snapped her head up closing the book, his most recent writing was two nights ago, he was ranting on about Elena sleeping with Damon.

"No, quite boring, but you still write in your diary?" Kate tossed the book aside leaning back on her elbows watching Stefan scattered through his opened closet, he dress in a long sleeve and random sweatpants.

"Read it all you want, anything written in there doesn't matter to me." Stefan moved across the room pouring himself a glass of bourbon, Kate frown pushing off the bed making her way to him.

"and what happens when we find the cure?" Kate had been doubting about asking the question none of them wanted to hear, even before Elena was human Stefan loved Kate and now that Elena was a vampire, Stefan kept trying to fix her, he didn't want Elena to stay a vampire because he believed whatever she was feeling wasn't real.

Stefan turned to her placing his glass down. " I don't know, but what I do know is that you would get your human sister back and everything will go back to normal." Kate hums crossing her arms.

"I talked to Rebekah." She mentions itching her arm. "she told me about a plan she had about the cure, and for some reason she told me." Stefan tilted his head letting her continue. "the cure is buried with Silas an ancient evil guy, Shane was eager to prove his existence that he has one of the keys to resurrect him, his headstone."
