"AND OF COURSE I broke into the Oval Office and took a picture of myself at the window looking all J.F.K but then I was like, 'wait, how am I gonna get these photos developed?'"

"Oh, my god! Just answer the damn question." Damon interrupted, stroking his head. "How are we gonna get out of this twilight zone?"

"I got a question for you first." Kai replied, turning to him. "Why do you think we're stuck on a repeating loop of May 10, 1994. Doomed to relive a solar eclipse forever and ever and ever?"

Damon took a sip of his drink. "How the hell should I know?"

"Well, I heard you tell Bonnie and Kate this place was your own personal hell. I'm kind of curious why."

"I found everything you asked for—" Bonnie and Kate returned back from their adventure at to stores, it didn't feel right taking what then needed without having to pay for it. "Can opener, shower drain, grinding wheel, jam, pocket knife, volume O of the encyclopedia, a nail and a black marker."

Bonnie unzipped the backpack and threw everything down onto the table. "Now what?" Damon stood up as the three peered over to Kai.

"Can't show you with my hands taped." Kai answered, crossing a leg over the other. Kate grabbed the pocketknife. "Kate." Damon warned. When the vampire cut her out of the tape.

"Thank you." Kai stared up at her once the tape was removed, he stood up, hovering over her. "Okay, fine, how's this pile of crap gonna get us out of here?" Damon asked.

"I'll explain as soon as you tell me what you did on May 10, 1994." Kai simply said, stroking his wrist.

Damon exhaled. "What difference does it make?"

"Put it this way. Bonnie's magic is one part of the equation. Mine as yet undisclosed knowledge is the other. Kate's is so simply to stand there and look pretty."

Kate was taken back by his statement, she looked at Bonnie who held a worried expression. "Which means you would be hitching a ride home for free. I just what to know if you deserve to come along."

Damon snatched the pocketknife from Kate's hand and grabbed Kai by his jacket. "Or I could just torture you until you say something useful."

"If you torture me. I'll get mad." Kai said, furrowing his eyes. "And then I won't what to help you." Kai looked down to Kate and Bonnie. "What kind of person needs to have that explained to them?"

Kate reached up, taking the pocketknife from his grasp. Damon released his hold. "Play nice." The witch whispered to him.

"Stop trying to impress the new guy." Damon replied. Kate rolled her eyes.

"Why don't you just tell him your story?" She asked. Damon looked at her. "Maybe because I didn't want to talk about the worse thing I ever did, Kate."
