Kate couldn't count the amount of times she watched a love one die in front of her, the heartache in her chest or the redness in her eyes after days of crying. She didn't like the feeling when it returned, her heart pounded against her chest.

Kate kneeled by Stefan's decapitated body that laid on the couch. The tears wouldn't stop and she sobbed and sobbed, clutching onto her chest.

Elena and Damon raced down the hallway of the building when they arrived. Elena rushed over and gasped at the sight.

"Oh, my god, Stefan!"

Kate sniffed, looking between the vampires, Damon could see the heartbroken look on her face. "Bonnie has a plan, right?" Her brown eyes were blowed. "Sh-she said that she could bring people back. Tell em that she can bring him back!"

Damon stared down at the body. "We'll bring him back. Come on," He came around and took the blanket off the couch and covered up Stefan's body. "Let's get away from prying eyes."

Kate shallowed harshly, when she arrived to the cemetery later that day with Liv and Elena, they were meeting Bonnie inside the Salvatore cell. "Hey." Kate exhaled, blowing invisible air. "Did you find a Traveler that can help us out?"

Bonnie pushed off the brick. "Yep, learning the spell as we speak." She looked over to her right. "I'll introduce you, but, I'm—"

Elena and Kate followed her gaze. "Thank you whoever you are." Elena spoke out loudly.

Kate looked back to Liv. "Moody old lady." Bonnie commented, giving them a slight hint of who was helping her out. "Kind of senile."

"Got it." Elena hummed. "Well, I'm gonna go call Damon and let him know that we are ready." She walked out the cell door.

Bonnie looked over to Kate, she could see the redness around her eyes. "Kate, uh, can we talk?" Bonnie nudged her head over to the back cell. Kate nodded and followed her back.

"Okay, uh, I think it's best if you're not here." Bonnie began. "And not because you're in the way, no, I just think I'll feel better if I know you're somewhere safe, away from all of this."

Kate knew Bonnie was right, she didn't need to stick around and cause her friends any more worry. "Yeah, okay, you're right, I'll probably head to the Grill or something."

Bonnie smiled in relief. "Okay, good, text me when you get there." Kate smiled softly and walked out the cell.

As she arrived to the Grill when Caroline texted Kate about her mother's whereabouts. Kate didn't know what to do with herself after Bonnie pleaded to her to keep away from the Traveler's which was hard considering that they were everywhere, but she made that mistake coming to the Grill.
