A COUPLE DAYS AGO, Damon and Elena traveled to the other side to get Bonnie back, the female vampire wanted Kate to stay back with Stefan because she wanted to join Damon on their quest and hopefully see a different side of him and the Kate had agreed, knowing if she went, she'll probably cause Stefan to panic.

Bonnie didn't come back, they were to late when Kai managed to get through into their world, he went after Liv but she escape his hand. Kai broke the ascendant which was their only way to get Bonnie and now they had nothing.

Kate hated that she was buying Christmas lights for Caroline when Bonnie wouldn't be with them, it was a completely different Christmas from the previous years, though she was glad to be back but a part of her wishes she was with Bonnie, so that she wasn't all alone.

Kate and Elizabeth were trying to get Caroline and Stefan to start talking again, it was odd seeing them not talking to each other. Stefan wanted to make peace and even went as far as apologizing but it clearly wasn't enough.

Kate and Stefan returned from their trip to the store where Elizabeth sent them off to get a couple of lights when in fact they had planned the whole thing just to get Caroline and Stefan to talking.

"Hey, we, uh, didn't know which ones to get so we got both." Kate walked into the dorm room with Stefan holding two boxes.

Caroline looked back at the couple, mostly eyeing the man. "What are you doing here?"

"Your mom needed Christmas lights." Stefan declared, furrowing between his girlfriend and the older blonde woman. Caroline looked back to her mother.

"You have a huge dorm." Elizabeth exclaimed. "And I thought we could use an extra set of hands." She gave Caroline a look making the vampire sigh.

Stefan held up the lights, Caroline looked between them and rolled her eyes. "The little ones obviously." Stefan grinned when he peered down to Kate. "Told ya."

When a fifth person joined them into helping them to decorate Caroline's and Kate's dorm room, Stefan was confused by the male, he didn't know who he was but by the way Caroline instantly smiled, made he think that he was the guy she was seeing.

"That's Ethan." Kate whispered, climbing up the ladder. Stefan hummed. "I invite him with the hopes that Caroline would go easy on you."

Stefan chuckled, holding the ladder as he looked up to her. "You're always two steps ahead aren't you?"

Kate scoffed lightly. "Obviously."

"Do you seriously have to fill the entire cup?" Elena asked with a giggle, watching her sister stack marshmallow inside her hot coco.

Kate scoffed lightly. "You can never go wrong with to many marshmallows." Elena shook her head when a cold snowball smacked the two girls. They gasped at the impact and turned around.
