"So the Lockwoods really have no idea that these tunnels are underneath their property?" Elena flashed her light directly to the stone walls, currently Alaric, Elena and Kate were walking through the tunnels to what Damon and Mason found and the vampire hunter wanted they to see.

"Yeah, careful where you shine that thing. Bats hate the light." Alaric warned them, Kate eyes widen skipping a few steps away from Elena closer to the teacher.

"Wait, what?" Elena stopped in her tracks making Kate and Alaric stop and look back at her.

"Elena." A familiar voice whispered making Kate roll her eyes at his games, Elena gasp flinching away flashing the light in his face. "Boo!"

"God, Damon!" Elena scolded smacking his arm.

"Scary-cat." Damon smirked.

"Just ignore him. That's what I do." Alaric tells her, Elena stared at him for a second before turning back to Damon.

"So you really can't get in?" She asked the vampire, Damon shook his head. "No. Seems even the ancient Lockwoods where anti-vampires." The Salvatore brushed past her.

"What do you mean, ancient?" Kate read her sister mind following behind the vampire.

"See for yourself." Damon says, Elena follow after her sister seeing as Damon stopped mid-way. "This is as far as I go."

Alaric entered the cave with Kate following behind him, she turned on her flashlight, flashing up at the walls with curiosity about the art and words.

"What does it mean?" Kate asked him

"Well, as far as I can tell, it's a story. In simple archaeological terms, it's a really really old story." Alaric explained to her, Elena eyes widen for a moment. "That right there is a moon cycle, a man, a wolf."

"A werewolf." Kate exclaimed.

"Yeah, it's the Lockwoods diaries, Pictionary style." Damon spoke up from behind them, they had choose to ignore his comment.

"I don't understand, I thought the Lockwoods came here with the original Founders in the 1860s." Elena turned around over to Alaric.

"Ah, maybe the Lockwoods did, but according to this wall, these werewolves have been here a lot longer than that." Alaric scanning the wall behind her head.
