KATE WONDERED WHAT STUFF she should've gotten from her childhood home. Since being in the prison, Kate had spent at least once a day inside the house, exploring, finding things, like a picture frame of her and Elena on their fourth birthday. Kate loved seeing the memories and getting to relive them again.
Kate did end up taking a few things with her before the plan came throughly. She took a couple pictures of her siblings, she found her baby blanket and hoped that one day she could pass it down. She found Elena's favorite toy which was a ballerina musical toy box, it really wasn't a toy.
She stepped over the gravel of the forest, clutching onto a random stick she found as she followed behind Bonnie and with Damon trailing behind her, whistling.
"You're in a good mood for the first time this decade." Bonnie says, looking back her shoulder. Kate chuckled as Damon poked Bonnie behind her legs. "Stop that!" She hissed.
"I got a hot date with my girl tonight." Damon declared.
"Yeah, assuming that Kai is telling the truth." Kate says, spinning the branch around.
After a second, Damon continues. "I'm thinking dinner and a movie. You know what? Screw the dinner and a movie, skip straight to the good part."
"Ugh." Kate let out before she silently agreed when she thought of Stefan, she could still smell him, considering that she's currently wearing his old flannel.
"Yeah and assuming I can do the spell which I don't know until I see it." Bonnie tells him, smacking away the poking device.
"Whatever happened to hope, Bon?" Damon asked. "Remember when I was all like, 'boo, grr,' and you were all, 'hooray, hooray, we're getting out of here!'."
Bonnie sighed. "Look, i want to go home more than anything. But Kai's a sociopath. Who's to say he won't screw us over."
Kate turned, walking backwards. "Me, i will kill Kai, and i know Damon would back me up on this." She pointed. Damon hummed.
"That's right." Damon nodded. "Because I will kill Kai and anyone who comes in my way of me going home."
"I heard my name." Kai appeared from infront causing Kate to stay by Bonnie. "All good I hope. The eclipse will happen directly overhead, in perfect alignment with the Gemini constellation." Kai explained.
"You need to dig into the tunnels below us." Kai pointed to Damon. "We'll do the spell there."
Kate furrowed. "Why?"
"Have you never portal jumped through an eclipse before?" Kai asked, he made it seem like an obvious question. "Okay, look, the light of the eclipse will shine down and activate the ascendant, you spout a little witchy woo and then poof! Anyone standing in the circle of light holding the ascendant goes home."
