"So we all agree? No more moping about lies little failures and no more dabbling in the dark arts of boyfriends past. This is a fresh start."

Caroline's history with relationships hadn't been the best record recently so instead of moping about it, she wants her friends and herself to start fresh, a boyfriend free zone which wasn't easy on Bonnie or Kate's behalf.

Kate simply hummed, mentally agreeing as the four best friends enter their first class of the day together. "Couldn't agree more." Elena said, looking up to the blonde. "I happen to love fresh starts."

"Uh, i haven't been moping or dabbling." Bonnie mentions as they took a seat in the second row.

"No one likes a bragger, Bonnie." Caroline says smiling. "Today is the drawing of a new era, this is stage one and our metamorphosis into the land of the brave, the free and the single."

"Bonnie and Kate aren't single." Elena mentioned, reminding the blonde of the very healthy relationship her sister and best friend currently have.

"Well, Bonnie and Kate's best friends are single." Caroline reported. "Which makes them single adjacent. So they can be our wingwoman." She said while passing Elena a flyer.

"Whitmore's annual bitter ball, a night to celebrate broken hearts, jilted lovers and bitter singles." Elena read, feeling uneasy about the party. "This is our fresh start?"

"No, this is our purge our cleanse. This is where we rid ourselves from the baggage better known as our tragic and mortifying first semester." Caroline explained, hoping that her words meant something to them.

"I'll drink to that." Elena agrees with a nod.

"Why the hell not." Kate says, Caroline grins softly and turns to Bonnie. "Bonnie! Bonine, you in?" The witch turns, scanning the flyer in Elena's hands.

"Yeah. Yeah, sounds like fun."

Kate felt ... well, she didn't know how to feel after the conversation Elena had with her boyfriend, Elena seemed ditzy, somehow not crushed about her relationship with Damon and even though it's been a couple days now, Kate felt annoyed that Elena isn't even bothering to talk to Damon.

Kate sighed, staring at her reflection in the mirror, dressed in a sleeveless black metallic with a twist in the front dress that fell just above the ankles. A knock came to the door and slowly the door open with Stefan walking in.

"Hey, wow. You—" Stefan eyes softened, taking in the dress that did wonders to her body, hugging every curve like a glove, shutting the door and slowly approached her. "Are you sure we have to go to this? How about we just skip the party, huh?"
