KATE GILBERT WAS IN shocked when Caroline told her what Elena did during the four months of her being "dead", it honestly made her wondered if Elena had the chance would she erase Kate from her memory as well.

"Who did it? And why would they stupidly agree to help Elena take away her memories of Damon?" Kate was beyond furious and tired since coming back from the prison world.

Caroline cocked her head, leaning against the bench. They two vampires were outside of Whitmore College after reuniting and they got to talking about everyone and what happened to Elena came exposed.

"Alaric."

Kate paced around the yard. "I still don't understand why would she do that? Did she think that we were dead— well, I mean we were dead so there was no way for you to know, well ... come back."

Caroline rose a brow and pushed off the bench. "Yeah, uh, so... h-have you talked to, you know?" Kate furrowed, slightly peering up at her. Caroline rolled her eyes. "Come on! Don't make me say it."

Kate exhaled and shook her head. "N-no, I haven't, and I didn't know why, I'm scared I guess." The newly vampire chuckled nervously.

Caroline's gaze softened. "What? Why are you scared, I mean, it's Stefan." She exclaimed, taking the brunette's hands.

"I don't know, it's the first time he'll see me as a vampire and I— I don't know, won't it changed things?" Kate asked, clutching on the blondes's hands.

"Uh no." Caroline scoffed at the question. "He loves you, Kate, it doesn't matter if you're human or not, that man would actually let himself die before anything could happen to you, though he couldn't protect you because he died." 

Kate cocked her head. Caroline lips parted as she shook her head. "Ignore that, I'm pretty mad at him— I'll explain later, but you have to see him, and we all know how you became a vampire." She included.

"Yeah?" Kate murmured. "He told you?" Caroline nodded taking a deep breath. "He told us the night he left Mystic falls... four months ago."

"He left Mystic Falls?" Kate questioned, now everything was possible making sense. The vampire nodded. "Forget that, look, you have to see him, like now."

"Why now?" Kate asked, letting her hands drop. "I can't now, I have to meet Elena and kick Alaric's ass."

Caroline chuckled, watching the girl walk away and back into the school. "God, I'm going to love vampire Kate."

"I don't want to see him."

Those were the first words, Kate heard when she entered Alaric's office. The male vampire looked up at the woman and exhaled, relief that it wasn't Damon.
