GUNNER remains silent after hearing what his cousin has to say, so this was the reason he was feeling weird back when he first knew about his son, he just couldn’t figure it out but he knew something was off. Though he never paid attention to his gut feeling because he got busy making up for the lost time with his son, trying to fill in all his lapses as a father in the years that have passed, and also, trying to win Allison’s heart. But why? He couldn’t understand why she would keep it a secret? Why didn’t she tell him about Alyssa, did she forget? Was she afraid he would do something if he knew? Or is this part of her plan to get back to him?

“So, what’s the plan?”  asked Zil

He just shrugs his shoulder as a response, He don't know what to do with Allison and the information they found out, or maybe he just doesn't want to entertain the thought, because he doesn't want to hurt her. And even if Allison was not the biological mother of his son, for him, she is still Gideon’s mother, in the real sense of the word, it was her who raised his son and showered Gideon with so much love and care during his absence and up until this day. This new-found information only made him love Allison more, for her to give her all to a child not her own and take on the responsibility of being a parent to a child is not a simple thing, sa sarili mo ngang anak mahirap na, how much more sa hindi mo sariling dugo’t laman, kahit pa sabihin na pamangkin naman nito ang anak niya, iba parin yung tunay mong anak. “And why would I use that against her? The last thing I want to do is to hurt her and to give her another reason to hate me more”

“Well, hindi naman namin sinasabi na tanggalan mo siya talaga ng karapatan sa bata, but you can use it to you know, negotiate things with her” kibit balikat na turan ng kaibigang si Edric.

“Hindi mo talaga gagamitin?” Tila paninigurado ni Zil, nanatili naman siyang tahimik, pinag iisip kung ano ang tamang gawin.
