Even nature lies, so who can I trust?

Ishiguro said that the Sun

Always had ways of reaching us,

No matter where we were.

After digesting such information,

I thought that our love was that,

As bright as the Sun and as reachable as the Sun.

Our love had the storms and gray skies,

The shining days and blue skies,

And even the distance of hundreds of millions of kilometers

Would not be able to split us apart.

Your light always reached me wherever I was.

Science said that the Universe

Was infinite, endless, an expanse with no limits,

But yet, with every second, it grew.

After learning such a fact,

I thought that our love was that,

As endless as the Universe and as growing as the Universe.

Our love was without walls,

Because the day you came in all the walls I built

Fell down,

Our love was everlasting, beyond boundaries,

But yet this infinity grew.

Is it possible for light to reach us

A hundred thousand kilometers away?

Is it possible for distance to feel like nothing,

For love to make you feel like

The sun was always right next to you?

Is it possible for endlessness

To expand,

For nothingness to grow like plants,

For the place with no walls to open wider,

To be more than what it already was?

The sun and Universe,

Have proven such.

Yet, you had to go off,

And turn the day into the night,

To turn off your light like a switch,

So even when you weren't here,

I would still shiver from the lack of warmth.

Yet, you had to go off,

And shrink the expanding love,

To build walls between us, taller, higher, bigger,

So that you turned infinity into a place with ends,

Turned infinity into a place that shrunk like myself.

Your love shine like me,

The Sun said.

Your love will grow like me,

The Universe promised.

How bold of me to assume

That these words would be truth.

How bold of me to assume

That even nature would not tell lies.

Because doesn't anyone not tell them?

A/N: In the beginning of this poem I mention the author Kazuo Ishiguro, who quoted that the sun always had ways of reaching us wherever we were, in his book Klara and the Sun. If you're interested go check it out, it's a deep story with a lot of meaning.
But anyway I hope you're doing well reading this and I hope to see you soon in a next poem <3
