it had turned dark, the group spilt into two cars. piper, max and robin in piper's car, and steve and dutin in steve's. which gave the perfect opportunity for the girl to finally talk.

"why did you break up with him?" robin asked as the car drove through the darkening town. reaching the edge of the woods. angel eyes intro startingto play softly on the radio, what a fucking coicidence.

"it's not important." she stated, not moving her eyes from the road.

"well he told me he broke up with you but i know better to actually listen to him." robin added, trying to get the girl to open up. she missed her. robin believed piper to be her girl best friend. sure she had steve, but she need piper too. piper was one of the only people who really knew robin, and not just as the weird band girl she passed in the halls.

"yeah, i broke up with him." piper replied, ignoring the sting in her chest.

"but why."

"he broke my heart." is all piper said, trying to turn off the song. her other hand gripping the wheel really hard. and the group remained quiet.

"he said her name, nancy." she whispered, robin eyes snapping to piper's face. it was rock hard, no emotion. but her eyes. oh her eyes.

"oh piper-" robin cried, her heart breaking for the girl.

"it's fine, clearly he's over it anyways." she spat, returning to the road as steve's car came to a stop in front of them, pulling up to a house. the lipton house. the group pilling at the front door. ringing it, over and over, and over again. the girls looking through the windows of the house to find it all stood still, like frozen in time.

"max come look at this." piper motioned, max hurrying after her, scarring herself as she stood on a twig. the two girls stood now looking at some kind of shack. the boat shack.

"hey guys, piper found something." max shouted, robin rushing over. steve and dustin following tow.

"ladies first?" steve smiled as he motioned to the door. robin rolling her eyes as piper start making her way to the door as the boys looked through the windows. trying to see if they could see eddie through the dusted glass. the door squeaking as it swung open. revealing the messy inside. but there was no sign of eddie munson anywhere. minus the musty smoke smell.

"eddie's been here." piper soke as max showed the girls the candy packets left on the table. steve still stabbing the tarps with the oar.

"don't worry, steve will get him with his oar."

"i know you think you're being funny henderson but considering everyone in this room has nearly died a hundred times. including that one that literally got her hips torn open. personally i don't find it funny in the slight-" steve started rambling on continuing to stab the insides of boats with the oar. when the tarp moved.

"steve!" piper cried diving forward as it jumped out at him, slamming him against the wall. holding a knife to the boys neck.

"i swear to god, if you kill him. i'll kill you." piper screamed, throwing herself onto eddie's back, grabbing his hands from behind and trying to pull him off. and eddie froze. he recognized that voice. the voice of the pretty but scary, piper parker.

"piper?" eddie asked looking over his shoulder to the girl, pulling himself off harrington as piper climbed off his back. but before anyone could react steve had grabbed piper's hand dragging her behind him as if she were some child.

"eddie, this is steve. he will not hurt you. he couldn't hurt a fly." she begged, stve's demeanour not changing. how he liked to lay the hero. still holding the oar out in a threatening way.
