"i'm going home." piper mumbled as she felt the pain in her hip burn. growing warmer by the second, someone wasn't right. steve turned to her as she picked up her bag, pulling out her walkman.

"i don't think so. it's brutal out there, i'll give you a ride." steve shouted as he jumped from the table. pushing his still wet hair from his face he did so.

"no it's okay steve, i can walk." she tried to reason, the pain in her hip getting worse and she wouldn't want her to trouble steve.

"not a chance, get your stuff. i'll just go get my jacket." he ordered and she knew from the look on his face. he wouldn't take no for an answer, like steve harrington has always done.

"well, can i atleast go to the toilet first?" she asked, and he nodded as he disappeared into the back of the shop to grab his coat. and she rushed off to the bathroom, robin watching the girl worried. that was really weird. and the bathroom door slammed behind her. leaning over the sink as she almost crumbled to the floor. quick to pull up her dress. not even bothered at the fact she was practically naked in the girls bathroom at the mall. and she could have cried. the strangely coloured veins had grown much darker and much more visible. prodding out of her skin. and now you could see nails marks, like someone had ripped at her hip. much like that guy in her dream had, billy hargrove, max's brother.

"piper." a voice called, the same voice from her dream. and she screamed, hands quick to cover her ears. feeling her skin moving as she looked back up at the reflection in the mirror. but that girl in the reflection was not her. she was pale skinned, much paler than this morning. had darker prominent veins from where a man in her dreams had attacked her.

"piper, i need your help." the voice called once more. and she gripped at her hair, pulling it as if it were to get rid of the voice.

"please help me. grow. bring people." it echoed again, this time it felt much closer. like someone was in the room. but the voice seemed much more femine than it had before. finally rid of that monotone voice that screamed back at her. but then she noticed a shadow hiding behind her in a stall.

"piper." and the door slowly opened, the face of a girl she knew from high school. her name was heather or something, and that's when the same guy from her dream appeared too. billy smiled at her as his eyes grew dark.

"piper." a voice shouted again but it was neither of them. it was steve from outside the bathroom. and piper grabbed the dress hurrying to put it on as the two took two steps closer. and she bolted for the door as they called her name once more.

"oh my, are you okay piper?" he questioned as the girl landed in his arms. her face was red and she had tears streaming down her face as she panicked. but she didn't answer, her eyes not moving from the bathroom.

"come on piper, dustin and robin are waiting for us." he whispered, noticing the girl's state. she looked dreadful. but the way she had come straight for him warmed him. well, how she had gone straight into his arms without running her mouth. and he pulled her away from the bathroom. he wanted to press on more on why she was so distraught. but he knew piper, he knew she wouldn't say anything.

and she nodded, finally letting him pull her off. and he was in fact correct about dustin and robin who were standing waiting for her. in his car. both holding two cups as they jogged over. robin handed her a blue cup as dustin handed hima red cup and they were off. as quietly as they could hoping anyone lingering around didn't catch them. somehow steve had managed to drop both dustin and robin off before her. leaving the two just driving around with the radio playing softly in the back ground.angel eyes by abba playing softly on the radio as he hummed the tune. and she couldn't help but smile at his actions. his hair had dried now. and she couldn't help but notice how pretty he looked. he looked warm due to the light of the car, his cheeks were flushed pink from her hot air blowing from the car's air con. he was humming the tune of the song. slurping on the red slushy every couple of seconds that he held in his hand that wasn't holding the wheel.

"steve."

"piper."

both spoke at the same time, and they turned to look at one another laughing softly. and they both returned to just driving. both their words left unsaid.

'look into his angel eyes, one look and you're hypnotised.'

she couldn't help but link it to the boy sitting beside her, the soft brown doe eyes. maybe she did like it. maybe she had fallen for steve harrington. maybe it was his pretty smile with those pink lips that most likely tasted of cherry right now. maybe it was his eyes, those pretty doe eyes that always looked at her worried. maybe it was that stupid hair. or maybe it was just him. the steve harrington that had handed her the cherry ice cream, the steve harrington which had defended her against his old friends. steve harrington noticed something was wrong when she had left the bathroom only minutes before. but she wouldn't tell him. because once again he was steve harrington, the one with the eo as big as his hair. so she swallowed the words she wanted to say. as he pulled up to her house. the lights dim. her mother had now doubt fallen asleep on the sofa after work once more.

"this is me." she mumbled as his car came to a stop, angel eyes fading to another song. as she met his eyes. he was smiling.

"i've just realised your bike is still at the mall so do you need to pick it up tomorrow?"

"i don't remember agreeing to hang out with you tomorrow?" she questioned, smiling at him and he chuckled.

"i'll pick you up at 8."

"you wish harrington." she chuckled climbing from his car. disappearing into the rainy night. running towards her front door. turning to face steve who was still smiling at her from his car before his car rolled out of the street. disappearing into the night.

"i think i might like you, steven harrington." she mumbled with a smile on her face as she just stared at the emptiness of her street. she still wore his coat as she disappeared into her room. shrugging it off at her nightstand. and she couldn't help but throw herself at the bed. dropping into warm sheets. thinking about the smell of vanilla and wood that lingered around her from his jacket.

she didn't just like steve harrington, she loved him... again...
