and piper awoke in cold sweat. sheets sticking to her skin as she cried in fear. the image of billy charging at her, the pain in her hip. only to realise she was in her room.  the same position she was in when she had fallen asleep. no billy. but the windows were open and the storm was brewing outside. standing from her bed to find everything exactly the same as it was before her nightmare because that was what it was. it was merely a nightmare and someone knocked on the door as she stood on something. looking down to find she had stood on a burnt out cigarette. what the fuck. and a sharp pain struck her hip, rushing over to the mirror to see what the hell was wrong. due to the fact she only wore a bra and shorts to bed last night. her skin was on display. creamy skin staring back, but on the left side of her hip. the veins looked darker than they would on a hip. going to touch the strangely coloured skin when the door knocked again. piper grabbeed a top from the floor as she rushed to the door. opening it to find the two girls she was with yesterday at the mall. el and max.

"billy." el spat and piper's face twisted in confusion.

"was billy, my brother here last night?" and her head started ringing at the name. billy was max's brother. max's brother who was in her dream last night. who had hit her in the same place where the markings on her skin were. the ame billy who had left the cigarette on the floor. but it was a dream.

"no?" the girl replied as she looked between the two girls who were still staring at her as if she had been pronounced dead on live telly just this morning.

"okay. bye." and el walked away. max threw her a look before turning back to piper who was looking down at her hip.

"okay sorry piper, see you around sometime."

"how did you know where i lived?'' piper shouted as the two girls walked away quickly. and the piper slammed the door. rushing back to her room to get changed. and max and el made their way to max's house. only to find his car wasn't there and nor billy. the two girls rifling through the boys stuff when el got the urge to go in the bathroom. spotting blood on the cupboards as max picked up the ice bags from the bath. opening the drawer to find it was only the bin and max grew confused. as el started pulling something out. and in her hand was a necklace. one covered in blood. one simple golden chain with two charms. a cherry and a golden p charm. piper. but piper had said she hadn't been with billy. but the necklace had blood on it, and it was hidden in billy's bin. alongside a whistle. which too had blood on it.

piper, who was still dazed about her dream, was riding on her bike towards the mall, a cigarette at her lips as her dress blew lightly in the brewing storm wind. she was glad she bought this dress. it was cute. it was a red dress but the shop had blabbered about it being shirred midi or something but she liked it because it was a cute summery dress on the shorter side. and she rode to the mall as the sky grew darker, scared it was going to start raining as she peddled faster. steve stared through the binoculars at a couple messing around. anna jacobi and marl lewinsky. steve complained about girls as he usually did.

"dude you are the worst sy in history, you know that?" dustin spat as he pulled the binoculars from steve.

"besides, i don't even know why you're looking at girls. you have the perfect one in front of you.” dustin replied as it was his turn to look through the binoculars. looking for anyone that looked like they may be russian.

"no seriously if you say robin-" steve spat as he turned back to look up at the couple, finding him throwing his arm over anna who smiled and laughed as she walked off with him. no freaking way.

"piper.'' dustin spat, and steve almost snapped his neck turning to look at the boy who was smiling as he continued to look through the binoculars.

"what?" steve spat looking at the boy who merely smiled.

"she's not even my type. she's not even in the ballpark of what my type is, all right?" steve tried to cover up the look on his face as dusti only  chuckled at the older boy. it was so obvious and he couldn't even tell.

"what's your type again? not pretty? not funny? not-" dustin replied, noticing how the boy's face quickly grew red. he knew dustin was right but would refuse to admit it.

"and for your information, she's still in school. she's really weird, she's very bouncy as well. i don't like that, she acts like a ray of sunshine. plus we're just friends.” steve stumbled over his words. trying to think of an excuse. pretending to hate that she was a ray of sunshine, the kind that made him want to smile and laugh when she was around. the jolt in his chest when she smiled at him.

"now that you're out of high school, which technically means an adult, don't you think it's time to move on from primitive constructs such as popularity?'' dustin replied, face falling slightly, he knew steve liked piper. and he knew steve cared more about what people thought of him than what he wanted.

"primitive constructs? that some stupid shit you leanred at camp know nothing?" steve laughed at the boy's words, distins face drooping slightly before covering as he noticed the presence of a girl walking towards them. .

"camp nowhere actually. and no it's shit i learned from life. instead of hating somebody you thing's gonna make you cooler, why not date somebody you actually enjoy being around?'' dustin asked grinning once more, steve growing confused at the boy's sudden change of mood.

"because he's steve i must be number one harrington." and the two boys turned to find the girl standing there, already with an ice cream in hand as she smiled at them. a big smile growing on dustin's face as he felt steve's twitch slightly at the girls appearance.

"don't listen to him dustin. his ego is as big as his hair, and he wants a girl with a lack of personality to match his own." and dustin laughed as he stood up, joining her as steve remained kneeled on the floor staring up at her.

"ha, ha parker. very funny, really got me that time." he pretended to chuckle at the girl who only giggled at his actions. heart leaping in his chest.

"omg steve harrington is kneeling for me." she commented finally noticing he was still kneeling before her, looking up. trying not to think about how pretty he looked. bright doe eyes the colour of chocolate looking up, his pretty pink lips curved into a small smile. and she wondered what they taste like. hair messily done in a way she wanted to run her fingers through. and she shook her head, pulling her out of her thoughts. turning back to face the shop as she turned red, not wanting to look at that and think of that.

"i don't kneel for anyone, piper parker." he spat as he practically jumped up from the floor.
