she was alone, for once. it was peaceful. she wanted some alone time and the day was perfect. mary was at work, steve was doing something with dustin. max was trying to convince el not to move with the byers. she was watching tv, of course. she had just ordered food. a pizza. and there was a knock at the door, only barely hearable through the heavy rain. the girl stood immediately. it wasn't steve, steve still climbs through the window. it wasn't the food, it couldn't have been delivered that quickly. it had only been ten minutes. muting the tv as she went to get the door, hearing the soft whimpers form the other side. the porch light was on, so she knew the person the second the door. her hair was wet, stuck to her face. her jacket was dripping wet and she was shaking.

"robin, what's wrong?" piper asked confused, brows furrowing slightly. what was robin doing here? why was she here? and why was she crying?

"i didn't know where else to go." she cried and piper opened her arms, the taller girl falling into piper's arms. and she couldn't care that the crying girl was wet. leading her inside the warmth of the house.

"i'll get you some clothes, do you want a shower or something?" the girl questioned as she led robin to the bathroom. grabbing the girl some spare clothes. a baggy top bowie top and pj pants. and some fluffy socks. before leaving robin to get a shower and changed. another knock at the door came about ten minutes later when the shower head shut off. hearing the girl shuffling as she got dried and changed. robin appeared back in the front room as piper shut the door. holding a box of pizza.

"i got some pizza, it's a margarita.'' piper smiled as she led roin to the sofas, unpressing mute of the tv as the two girls sat down. and they sat in silence. munching on pizza watching the show. the only sound was the music of the show.

"piper?" robin finally spoke her voice raw. rough, that's right, she had been crying. and her eyes were still puffed and red.

"thanks for this, i just wanted to be out of my home and i didn't know who else to come to." robin was addicted quietly, she had never seen a robin like this. not even when they were trapped under the mall in a secret russian base. robin was strong, smart. but right now the girl in front of her was scared, shaking.

"no, it's okay robin. we're friends right. friends do this stuff for one another.'' piper quickly added as she rushed over to robin, taking the girl in her arms once more. it was comforting, holding her friend in a vulnerable situation.

"are you going to tell me what's wrong yet rob?" piper questioned as the two girls returned to silence once more. and robin sighed.

“alright fine. i don't like guys." robin spat and nothing came from piper, her brow only curved in confusion.

"i don't like guys piper, i like girls." she added, looking away. unshuffling herself out of piper's arms. she was anticipating piper's disgusted reaction. a sickened gaze? how would she react to that news? would she be disgusted?

"oh." piper murmured and robin took the hint, standing up from the chair as piper processed the words.

"oh honey, it's all okay. you are still robin to me." the girl murmured and robin burst out crying. tackling the girl in a hug. wrapping her arms around the smaller girl. robin still wasn't used to these reactions, she had expected disgusted glances and horrible words. but from the two people she had told. she just earned soft hugs, understanding glances. loved. she felt loved. by her friends. it sounded insane. but if you had told robin two years ago that she would be friends with king steve harrington and his girlfriend. and not just any girlfriend. but the piper parker who had moved away because of the boy she was now dating. it was mad. it was strange.
