Y/n's POV

We all head to the Great Hall and Hermione splits off and goes to the Gryffindor table. We sit in the same spots as at lunch. We all get our food, and then Matt, being the mom of the group, asks how everyone's days were.

"It was good, same as usual, but I'm just so glad we're finally here," I told the group, I didn't need to say anything else, Matt nodded understanding what I meant. We both hate it at home. I mean, it's better than a lot of people get, but I haven't seen my father in over 2 months. He never cared about us. It's like he doesn't even live with us, he does but he's always busy doing stuff, I don't know what with though. He was a death eater back when Voldemort was in power, but when he fell and went into hiding, my father told the ministry that he was under the imperious curse and didn't want to do any of the things he did. Draco's father did the same.

The mood changed a little bit after I said that. Shit. I just ruined the perfectly fine mood. I decide to say something to lighten the moment, "Oh, earlier Neville got caught by professor Sprout growing weed in his garden, but Hermione obliviated her memory and and then she didn't remember finding it,"

"What? your kidding," Matt laughed.

"No, it was so funny, Neville looked so scared when we entered the greenhouse," Draco commented

"Oh my god, that's crazy. If Hermione wasn't there we would probably all be in huge trouble."

"I know right," Max joined in.

"How was the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor? Was he any good?" I asked Matt who had dada today.

"He was great! He knows a lot about the dark arts and he's one of the best professors we've ever had in this class,"

"That's good, I just wish Lupin could have stayed, he was my favorite professor I've ever had." I mentioned, it's true, Lupin wasn't only my professor, he was my friend.

*Flashback*

We were all lining up to see what the boggart in the wardrobe turns into. It will turn into our greatest fear. I really don't want the whole class knowing what my greatest fear is, that would be humiliating. Most of their fears were spiders, snakes, homework, clowns, giant birds, and even Snape. But not mine.

Mine is very different.

"Okay, miss Rookwood, step on up, it's your turn," Lupin welcomed me with a genuine smile. I stayed where I was, not wanting the whole class to see what I feared most.

"I-I can't..." I stuttered,

"Of course you can, Y/n, anyone can do it, right Neville?" Lupin turned to Neville,

"Yeah, the spell is pretty easy to do," Neville, who did the spell first, told me. I took a deep breath and walked over to the wardrobe. My heart raced as the doors to the wardrobe slowly opened. As the boggart took form I felt tears in my throat but swallowed them back. The scene in front of me was horrible, all I wanted to do was run out of the classroom and go straight to my dorm, but I couldn't, I had to stay.

The boggart had turned into a scene that plays in my head far too often to be normal. The people in the scene were all my friends; Draco, Max, Matt, Hermione, Harry, and Ron. The boggart made it seem like they were talking directly to me, and I could have sworn it was real.

It was as if the boggart used some sort of magic that made me believe it was real.

"I've never liked you, Y/n, I'm simply only friends with you because it seemed ideal since we're both purebloods," Max spoke in the boggart, her voice was exactly as it is in real life.
