Y/n's POV
Today is the day, the day which I make up with Pansy and Max. I've realized that it was all my fault and I overreacted, so today, after classes, I'm gonna talk to them. It's been two bloody weeks now and I've realized that this has gone on too long.
I got ready for the day, putting my all into my appearance as always; I may feel terrible inside but if I keep looking great everyday then nobody will know. Right?
I tried to keep my mind off the situation with Kayden and I. How are we both chosen? What's so special about us, and why did the Dark Lord choose us? What are we chosen for? Other than becoming Death Eaters, what else were Kayden and I chosen for?
I finished getting ready, then I left my dorm, eager to get classes over with and finally talk to Max and Pansy.
Last night after I made myself throw up and I left my dorm again, Mattheo commented on how pale I looked. I told them all that I might be getting a little sick -physically sick- with that bug that's spreading around.
They believed it so that's good. I don't really understand why my face looks a much lighter tone recently, it might be from stress and...not eating.
I met with Draco and we began to walk to the Great Hall where I prayed he wouldn't make me eat again; eating a full meal made me feel worse.
As we walked he reached for my hand and entwined our fingers.
"Jeez, your hands are really cold," Draco said, I laughed a little bit, "And you still look a bit pale, do you want to go to the hospital wing?"
"What? No, I don't think it's a big deal," I said "and the sun has been out less recently, so,"
"I think you've been out less recently, it's been pretty nice out this past week and you've just stayed inside," It's true, I have stayed in the castle for a long time, except for Care of Magical creatures when we're forced outside.
"I've been busy," I shrugged,
"I know, we've all been," he said, "How are things with Pansy and Max? Has anything change yet?"
"Actually I'm gonna talk to them later, hopefully they can forgive me."
"But you didn't do anything, did you?"
"I don't know, I feel like I did, they haven't apologized for what happened so maybe I was being dramatic and really I was the bad guy."
"Well, I'm glad you're gonna talk to them, it's been weird not having all six of us hang out like always."
"Yeah, it has been."
We made it to the Great Hall and and sat where we've been sitting. It's been a bit weird at meals lately because we all don't sit together like always since Pansy and Max and I haven't been talking.
I took a seat next to Draco and sighed silently. I made myself a cup of tea and began to take tiny sips of the hot liquid. As I drank, my mind wandered to my task, those midnight leaves should be dry enough soon, but even once I have that ingredient ready I'll still need more from that dark magic apothecary.
This potion is only a back up though, I'm still sticking to my original plan but if that doesn't work out then I'll have a plan b: Pour liquid death into Hermione's morning drink and bam, task complete.
Draco grabbed a green apple from a dish in front of him but didn't take a bite yet,
"That potion's essay is due this morning, right?" he asked me,
"What potions essay?" I asked, alarmed at the fact that there was an essay that I had no idea about.
"The one Slughorn assigned last week, you did do it right?"
