Y/n's POV

Once I left Draco's dorm I headed to the common room where Matt is.

"Hey, Matt, change of plans, I'm helping you with the cabinet today instead of Draco," I said, making sure that nobody would hear except for him.

"Oh, alright, why though?" he asked,

"He's pretty tired so I offered to," he nodded and we began to walk out of the common room and to the room of requirement.

"So last night Draco and I didn't make much progress, we just took a look at it and opened it up, it may take a while to mend," Matt explained

"We'll get it done, I know we will." I said with confidence. We made it to the tapestry on the seventh floor and Mattheo closed his eyes; you have to think about what you want the room to turn into before entering.

A door formed and Mattheo opened it, letting me walk in first. In here was so much abandoned stuff; books, old record players, broken statues and vases filled with dead flowers, candles, just a ton of random stuff.

"Here we are, the cabinet is this way," he said and walked ahead of me. Lately Matt has been...not really distant but just not as talkative and open as usual, I think it's because both Kayden and I saw him die in those vision things. He's just been different and I miss the old him.

We made it to this tall figure covered in a white sheet, Matt pulled off the sheet revealing a beautifully made, wooden cabinet.

"Woah," I said, looking at it, it's just like the one at Borgin and Burkes.

"Here are the notes and ideas that Draco and I made last night, it isn't much but it could be a start," Matt handed me a piece of parchment with some writing on it.

Vanishing cabinet:

- must be mended, we need to use random objects and transport them to the other cabinet, if successful, then the object will come back in a different form. Example: a bite taken out of an apple.

I read over the little notes, now understanding what needs to be done.

"Oh, I see, so...we send objects to the other cabinet and see if they come back...different? What would make it different?" I asked,

"Narcissa and Bellatrix will be visiting the shop every day, if one day they open the cabinet and see an...apple or something in there, then they know to do something to it and send it back to us so we know it's successful," he explained, "But we're gonna need to spend some time trying to get things to go through it smoothly for a while."

"Okay, I get it now," he set the notes back on the table and grabbed out his wand,

"The spell is Harmonia Nectere Passus, once we have the object, -today we're using an apple- in the cabinet we recite the spell and just see if it works," I nodded. He picked up a green apple out of a dish in th table and threw it up, catching it in his hand before walking to the cabinet.

He opened the door and set the apple inside the cabinet,

"Do you want to say the spell?" he asked,

"Let's say it together," I suggested and he nodded in agreement. I closed the door and pulled out my wand.

"Harmonia Nectere Passus" we said together, "Harmonia Nectere Passus" we said it once more for good measure and waited for a bit. If it does work then we'll have to wait for the shop owner, or Narcissa or Bella to do something it.
