Draco's POV
"So you've been avoiding and ignoring those thoughts right?" I ask Y/n in her dorm.
"Yeah, I haven't done it in like...nine months?" she counts on her fingers, "Yeah, I think it's been nine."
"That's brilliant." I sigh,
"I think is the longest I've gone without cutting since I was like fourteen."
"I'm really proud of you," a tiny smile tugs at her lips, and then an amazing idea pops into my brain. "Okay, you should get some sleep, alright? You've been pushing really hard, you deserve a good nine hours." she smiles a small smile, larger than her previous one and more genuine.
"Alright, good night."
"Goodnight," I kiss her lips softly before leaving her dorm, then I head to the common room where I luckily find Kayden, Max, Pansy and Leo sitting together on the couches, talking.
"Hey guys," I breathe excited to ask them about my sudden idea. When they all look to me and nod or say hey, I sit down and say, "Alright, so recently Y/n's achieved a pretty brilliant milestone, and as her closest friends, I think we should have a little party -just the six of us- to celebrate it."
"Oh, brilliant, what did she..." Leo starts,
"It's been nine months since she last self harmed." I tell the lot quietly.
"Oh, that's amazing," Kayden says,
"Yeah, we should totally have a little party for her." Max agrees,
"She'd like that," Pansy adds. Leo still has a look of surprise on his face.
"Nine months?" he asks, I nod. "Wow...she's strong."
"I know. That's why this is a perfect idea, to remind her that while making it fun, cause god knows we could all use some fun."

Y/n's POV
"Leo, where are you-?" I ask, stopping as he runs off after I asked him what he's doing this afternoon. "Okay..." I adjust the shoulder on my bag and continue walking, confused and annoyed at Leo's -and everyone else's it seems- behavior.
I contemplate heading to the library as I walk but am soon stopped by Draco- not exactly stopped, but ran into and knocked over.
"Fuck- I'm so sorry, Y/n," He reaches and helps me up.
"It's okay, where are you rushing to?"
"Er- homework due." he says shortly, he bends down and picks up a book I dropped, opening the front cover and then closing it soon after and handing it back to me. "well, I have to go, er, enjoy that book."
"Okay, uhm-"
"Bye," he runs off just like Leo did, and similar to how Kayden and the girls did earlier after Transfiguration. I sigh deeply as Draco disappears around a corner.
Last night we talked for a bit, I told him it's been nine months since I cut, he was happy to hear it, I went to bed early last night too because I was simply too exhausted from studying hard for my NEWT's.
Why does everyone keep running away from me?
I eventually do go to the library and sit at my usual spot, beginning to read ahead in my Potions textbook, pushing the odd encounters with my friends to the back of my mind for the time being.
"Do you ever not study?" a voice speaks in front of me, I look up and meet eyes with the electric blue ones of Theodore Nott.
"Well, I sometimes sleep." I joke, he chuckles and sits next to me, "What's up?"
