Y/n's POV

I don't know why, but I don't think I want anyone knowing about this letter until I know what it says. I have no idea why my father is owling me right now, isn't he busy? He's always too busy to see us, Narcissa said that if he had time to see Matt and I, he would, apparently everything he's doing is for us, but I think that's all bullshit.

I sneak away from everyone and head to my dorm. I sit on my bed and slowly open the letter. I almost don't want to read it. What could it say? And apart from the fact that he never owls me, why is he owling me at this time of night?

The letter reads:

Dear Daughter,
I had the
Dailey Prophet delivered to me earlier this evening,  and I noticed that you made the front page, along with Cedric Diggory. I must say, I do not approve of him, you are not to hang out with, spend time with, or date Half-bloods from other houses, especially Hufflepuff. I have told you this before. You are to only spend your time with fellow Pure-bloods or Half-bloods from Slytherin, and Slytherin only

I am very disappointed in you, and I will be making sure that Severus Snape prevents you from ever hanging out with that Diggory boy again.

Do not write back, I am very busy at the time with my job and mustn't be interrupted.

Sincerely,
Your Father

What. the. fuck.

He can't do this, Cedric and I aren't even together, I don't know why we can't hang out, this is ridiculous. Rita Skeeter needs to be drop kicked and Avada kedavra'd in the air. Who the hell does she think she is?

I folded the letter back up and put it in the envelope. I went back down stairs.

"Where'd you go?" Max asked me,

"Upstairs to read a letter," I said, "My father owled me."

"What?" Matt said "What did he say?" I handed him the letter, and he opened it and read it. His expression was confused while he read it. He looked at the table where here was a copy of the Daily Prophet sitting there, he read the front page and put two and two together. "What the hell..."

"What does it say?" Draco asked, Matt handed him the letter and the news paper and a couple minutes later Draco looked up with a half confused half disgusted look on his face. "Damn..." Was all he said

"What is it?" Max said, Draco handed her the two pieces of parchment and a couple minutes later all she said was, "Damn..." in almost a whisper,

"He's so...prejudice, god I hate him," Matt said

"That makes two of us. He completely ignores us for half our lives and now that he knows I'm not a mugglephopic, prejudice, horrible person like he is, he finally acknowledges that I exist?" I say,

"Yeah, that's not fair, just because he's horrible doesn't mean you have to be, too." Max said "Well, you can be kind of mean some times, like the time with that first year and his homework-"

"That was one time! And It's not my fault he put his essay right where I decided to spill my tea, and I could barely read his essay anyway, he would have failed if he didn't have to re-write it, so if anything I did him a favor."

"Okay, okay, Jesus, I was only joking," Max said, "But seriously, your father shouldn't be able to do that."

"Yeah, I agree, he's just like my father," Draco said,

"I guess that's why they're besties then," Matt said,

Over the next few weeks I've been trying to avoid Snape as much as possible, if he sees me hanging out with Cedric, or anyone from a different house, he'll owl my father and who knows what will happen to me?
