Y/n's POV
These past couple months of summer have been great. My birthday was a few weeks ago, we all went on a London dinner cruise on the Thames river. It was really nice. It wasn't too long ago that we got our Hogwarts letters, we're going to Diagon Alley today to get supplies.
Matt's O.W.L. results came the other day, he got O's E's and A's in all of them, but an average of E's. That's pretty good actually, at least he didn't fail anything. But now I'm super scared for my O.W.L.s.
We're in fifth year now so we're eligible to become prefects, none of us were chosen though, I understand why, none of us have ever been responsible with anything, and we all hate most prefects because they're just so annoying all the time.
Matt, my father and I are meeting the Malfoys at Diagon Alley, usually Max, Draco, Matt and I shop for our school stuff while our parents catch up at a pub or something. Once I'm all ready to go, Matt and I meet our father downstairs and he apparates us to our destination.
We landed in the middle of the busy street, I barely avoided a small child running into me. On the other side walk we see the Malfoys apparate there and we head over to them. Narcissa greets us as always, and we all say hi.
"Okay, all of you have your lists right?" Narcissa asked us, we all nodded or said yes, "Okay, and money?" we all said yes again, "Great, we will be in that café over there, when you have all finished your shopping meet us in there, alright?"
"Okay, see you, mum," Draco said, and we parted ways from our parents. "Where to first?"
"Uhm...lets go to The Flourish and Blotts and get our textbooks," I said checking my list, most of the books were the same as last year except they were for fifth year, and 6th year for Matt. We walked into the book shop and picked out what we need, then we bought them and walked out with heavy bags filled with like 8 large books each.
Next we went to the Apothecary to get potions ingredients, we stopped at a stationary store for parchment, ink and quills, we picked up our pre-ordered robes for school at Madam Malkin's, and we went into Eeylops Owl Emporium so that Draco and I could get food for our owls. All of this took at least 3 hours, we ran into several people from Hogwarts; Harry, Hermione, Ron and the rest of the Weasleys, Pansy, Cho Chang, and Neville.
Once we were all done shopping for everything we need we met our parents back at the café they were in.
"Hello kids, did you find everything alright?" Narcissa asked us as we joined them at the booth they were seated at.
"Yeah, we got everything on our lists," Max said. The four of us got butterbeers and we all stayed in the café for a little before leaving.
"I'll see you tomorrow, darling," Draco said to me before we all went home again. Tomorrow is September first and we're leaving for Hogwarts again.
"Okay, see you tomorrow," I said and kissed him, "I love you,"
"I love you too," he said, we parted ways and my father apparated Matt and I back home. When we landed back in our manor Matt and I went upstairs to put our stuff away.
I chilled for a while, watching a show. After a while it was like 7 pm so I decided to take a shower.
As I showered I thought about how it's finally time to be going back to Hogwarts, I'm excited to be going back but there's one thing in the back of my mind that wont leave me alone: Cedric. It's not gonna be the same without him there, nothings going to be the same without him there.
What will it be like to walk the halls that Cedric walked? To play Quidditch on the field that he's played on so many times? To attend all of the classes and complete all the course he did just last year?
