"They went this way!"
"No! This way!"
"Where the hell are they?"
"Don't worry sir, we'll find them."
They could hear the soldiers screaming out with the barking of dogs and the beams shining brightly through the trees. Despite all this, they kept running. They kept trotting through the mud and rain that poured on top of them. Nancy, Steve, Jonathan, Robin, Billy, and Eddie lead the way while they kept holding the kids' hands to keep them moving forward so they could escape. They knew the risks involved if they didn't keep moving. If the soldiers get their hands back on them, they would be put through into a worser hell than they already had been through.
"In here! Guys, over here!" Robin shouted as she was pointing at a hole in the ground. Quickly they slipped into the hole and took cover as they squeezed in tightly against each other. Their need for comfort was less important their their need to make sure everyone was well hidden underneath.
"Okay? Is everyone here?" Steve asked as he began counting off people to ensure they didn't loose anyone. There was Max (002), Billy (003), Lucas (004), Eddie (005), Steve (006), Dustin (007), Nancy (009), Mike (010), El (011), Will (012), Jonathan (013), and Robin (014). Once everyone was counted for, Nancy and Robin attempted to get the kids to try and get some sleep, which was hard given it was raining and any minute they could be caught by the soldiers. Once the flashlight beams began to disappear and the rain started to let up on them did the kids began to start to fall asleep one by one till it was just Robin, Nancy, Steve, Eddie, Billy, and Jonathan were still awake while they began to try and make a plan of what they were going to do now they had escaped.
"We need to get a better shelter than this... maybe there's an abandon building out there or something? Because if we stay here, I'm sure those assholes are going to find us soon." Robin suggested to them.
"Yeah, but we need to get some food and water first. Those munchkin are going to be hungry and thirsty when they wake up tomorrow morning." Eddie pointed out to them.
"We also need to find a way to get in with the townsfolk... and get some clothes too," Nancy claimed to them, pulling at the edge of her hospital gown, "We can't live in the woods forever without being noticed. Someone is surely going to find us and start asking questions like where we come from and who we are."
"Then we'll just rip them apart if they get a bit too nosy." Billy flat out said.
"That would then draw more attention to us, which is what we don't want. Especially since we know those scientists are going to be listening into every phone conversation and driving down the streets, hunting us down." Jonathan shot at Billy.
"Okay, okay, everyone calm it," Steve butted in, "Lets work on our most needed tasks firsts then slowly drift to what else we need to do. So we need food and water like Eddie said then hunt for a hideout, and then see if it is even possible to drift into town. Because Jonathan's right, those scientists are going to be hunting us down."
"Yeah, but we're all going to have to get jobs so we can get money to get food and supplies such as toiletries, silverware and plates, bowls, things people have in their normal life..." Nancy began listing off.
"Oh! And pads and tampons." Robin blurted out, causing the boys to turn a bright shade of red, "Hey! I'm being realistic. Nancy and I might not be on our periods now, but it will come later, and El and Max are getting close to hitting puberty as well so they're going to need those things too."
"And to send the kids into school." Nancy stated to them.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Billy cut in, "You official lost your mind, princess. I get the job thing, but you want us to send those kids off somewhere we can't keep our eye on them? What happens if they get in trouble? Like they find the kids or something?"
"Billy, you're acting like those kids don't have anything to defend themselves." Nancy shot at him, "Max can control fire, Lucas can control ice and snow, Dustin can talk with animals, Mike has invisibility and can turn others invisible with him, El has mind powers and Will can make things come to life just by drawing shit. Trust me when I say, they'll be able to take care of themselves. Besides, they need to go to school and get an education so they can be able to take of themselves too."
"Hey, guys," Steve called out, "we're going in circles and we're going to need our strength and all our senses on high alert if we're going to go hunting tomorrow. Lets just get some shut eye. We'll discuss this in the morning."
Steve lean backwards as he wrapped his arms, protectively, around Dustin along with Eddie, who was trying to steal Dustin away from him. Robin and Nancy soon crawl over till they were holding Mike and El in her arms while Jonathan grabbed hold of Will then Billy wrapped his arms around Lucas and Max as tightly as he could before everyone began drifting off to sleep.
