Hopper rushed through the streets, clinging tightly to his gun, darting around the street corners to try and find out where Will and El were located. As he was walking past the school, he paused when he heard a shrieking seeming to come from inside the building. What the hell is that, he thought to himself while he cautiously made his way towards the school with his gun out in front of him.  Though he knew it would be better to go away from the sound, he knew he had to go checking the building in case Will and El were in there. He didn't want to risk walking past in and then finding out he had walk past them and had left them in danger. He couldn't live with that. 

As he was getting near the entrance of the school, he heard that familiar shrieking but closer... much closer. He began to turn and take another route inside when he found the creature bursting out through the front door. Hopper screamed as it ran up against him, pushing him down onto the pavement before jumping off him. He struggled to get up onto his feet while still clinging tightly onto his gun. He had lifted his head up when he saw himself inches away from the creature's mouth; it hot breath flood against his face, spitting saliva all over his forehead and cheeks. 

Shit, he thought while he pulled away just in time as the beast was closing its jaws. Hopper wobbled backwards until he caught his footing again. He held up his gun, ready to fire when the creature swung its hand out, which flung the gun out of his hand. His eyes widened as he feared this was going to be the end for him. However, before the creature could strike, it flung backwards like something had backhanded it. Hopper turned his head to see El walking out through the front doors with her arm out in front of her. 

"El! Where's Will?" He called out to her. 

"He's inside... in the AV Room!  Go get him before any other vine or creature get him!" El ordered him while she began walking over towards the creature. Hopper was about to shout out to her how he needed to help her, but seeing as she tossed the creature around like it was nothing more than a rag doll made Hopper think she was fine for now.  

Turning on his heel, he rushed inside the building. He hurried down the halls while his mind began racing around as it tried to remember where the AV Room is. He rounded a couple of corners until his eyes spotted a plaque that was marked AV Room. Carefully, he barged into the room to find Will laying unconscious in the corner of the room. 

"Will!" Hopper called out as he rushed over to his side. He checked his vitals to ensure he was find. His heart was a bit faint and his breathing was a tad slower than he would have preferred but everything else was fine. He pulled Will up over his shoulder, careful not to hit his head or anything, before making his way out of the room. He had just exited the room when he heard a high-pitch shrieking and El's screaming. 

"EL!" He screamed out as he went running down the halls and making his way back to the entrance of the school. Just as he was bursting out of the hallway, he could see El was holding the creature into the air as it was dissolving around her into tiny pieces... however, so was El. 

"EL!" Hopper screamed again. He set Will down gently and scurried to try and pull El away. His arms were outstretched only a foot away from El... yet found himself grasping at nothing but air as she and the creature vanished completely. Hopper collapsed against the ground as his eyes widened in horror. He shot his head back around, hoping that El would be still standing there and was okay. 

But she wasn't. 

She was gone.
