It was late at night when Billy walked around the kitchen of the trailer, looking for something to drink. He opened the fridge, his eyes darting around. He couldn't help as his mind began thinking about earlier in the car. He was sure he had seen something scurrying across the road. It was some sort of large creature. It happened so fast, he could get a full sight of it since Billy didn't want to run into it and end up smashing his car.

He shook his head before he groaned then took hold of the carton of orange juice before he shut the fridge door. Just as he turn around and began to take a sip, the carton dropped from his hand. His eyes widened. At the kitchen table sat a young woman, working on what appeared to be homework; she was tall and slender with long blonde hair but she wasn't someone he could recognize.

"Hey! Hey, who the fuck are you? What are you doing here?" Billy shouted at her. She didn't respond, almost like she couldn't even hear him.

"Hey! Lady, you don't belong here. Get out of my--" He was cut short when she suddenly turned her head. Her eyes widened.

"Oh my God! What... the..." She whispered before she screamed. Her entire body dissolved into thin air. Billy swirled around, trying to figure out what was going on. He brushed his hands through his hair before stumbling back against till he was leaning against the counter top. His thoughts were cut off by something grabbing his shoulder. Billy flung around as he shot his arm out grabbing whatever that touched him.

"BILLY! BILLY! IT'S ME, MAN! IT'S EDDIE!" Eddie screamed at the top of his lungs while he tried to pull himself from Billy's grasp. Billy froze before slowly releasing Eddie from his grasp. Eddie fumbled back till he ran into the wall behind him. The two of them stared at each other, unable to utter a word.

"What's going on with you?" Eddie asked, brushing his hand over his chest to try and steady his beating heart. Billy shook his head.

"You just spook me, that's all." Billy told him.

"Me? Spook you?" Eddie asked, confused.

"Yeah, you did. Now go back to bed." Billy growled as he leaned down and picked up the carton from the ground.

"But I was here too--"

"GO TO BED!" Billy hissed at him. Eddie stiffened as he fumbled down the hallway. Once Eddie was gone, Billy proceed to clean up his mess then took a moment to lean against the sink. He stared out the window, trying to understand what he had seen earlier. Was it some kind of trick of the mind? Was he finally losing it? Or was it something else entirely? Billy shook his head. He knew there was no use in thinking about what he had saw as he quickly cleaned up the mess then headed back to bed.

"I'm telling you man, he totally flipped out last night. It's almost like he saw something--" Eddie finished telling Steve the whole incident. They hung closely around Steve's locker, to avoid running into Billy. Eddie knew if Billy ever found out he informed Steve about it, Billy would beat him within an inch of his life. But Eddie had to tell someone. He was worried about Billy.

"Maybe he was having a moment. You know with everything that is going on," Steve suggested to Eddie.

"No, this was different. It was like he-- he saw a bloody murder or something." Eddie pleaded with Steve to understand what he was talking about.  Steve opened his mouth to say something when he stiffened. Eddie turned to see that boy, Tommy and his girlfriend, Carol, walking up towards them.

"Hey, you guys. We just came to tell you, Carol and I are wanting to invite you guys, Billy, Nancy, and Robin to an after school party at my house. My parents are out of town." Tommy told them.

"Uh-- I don't know--" Eddie mumbled under his breath when...

"Yeah, we'll be there." Steve stated. Eddie shot him a look.

"Great, see you then." Tommy said before walking off with Carol beside him. Once they were gone, Eddie glared at Steve.

"I don't want to go!" Eddie spat at him, "I honestly don't like them. They give me the creeps."

"Eddie, we're trying to fit in, aren't we? I think hanging out with them will give us a chance to look normal." Steve explained to him. Eddie shook his head.

"I just-- I don't get a good feeling about them... That's all." Eddie mumbled before making his way down the hall.
