It felt like hours had passed them by as Steve, Eddie, Billy, Mike, El and Max walked around the forest,  attempting to be careful from slipping and sliding across the muddy ground, trying to search for something to eat.

"Should we break up so we can try to find food in other directions?" Mike suddenly asked Steve. Steve paused as he turned around, glaring at Mike.

"No, Mike. It wouldn't be wise to break into a smaller group than we already are. Plus Nancy would rip my head off my shoulders if I so much as thought of that. She was already hesitated about even having you kids here with us in the first place." Steve warned him before he turned around and continued forward to search for food. They had walked a few more paces till Steve came to a pause.

"You smell that?" he asked, taking a deep breath. A heavenly scent blew into their direction, teasing their noses.

"Yeah. What is that?" Mike asked, taking in a deep breath.

"Everyone just stay calm. You kids stay here, Eddie watched them." Steve ordered the kids. Eddie lightly saluted. Max's mouth dropped and she shot a glare at Steve.

"What? Why? You brought us here as extra man power? Now you're going to ditch us here?" Max asked them, crossing her arms over her chest. Billy turned around as he hovered over Max till his eyes were glaring down into her own. Max's confident stance flattered underneath his glare as she turned her head to the side to avoid looking into his eyes.

"Max, you're going to listen to Steve. If any of you three even thinks of following us, then you're going to be punished." Billy threatened them. Max, El, and Mike shuffled, not daring to say a word. Eddie motioned them towards him and like little ducklings, they wobbled over and hid behind him. Steve and Billy turned around and continued onward to find out where the smell was coming from.

"Hey man, was that really necessary back there? I mean they're already scared enough after all the bullshit the scientist put us through, I don't think we should get it in their heads they should be fearful of us as well." Steve asked Billy while they scurried down a small hill. Billy shot him a dirty look.

"Steve, we're in a life or death situation here. Those kids need to know, at any and every moment we live and breathe, we are in danger of getting caught... they are in danger of getting caught. Sorry, but I am not going to cuddle them and make them think foolishly, they're going to be okay now that they are out of the lab and make them think it's fine to let their guard down." Billy put it out there before making a sharp right turn.

"I don't want to 'cuddle' them or teach them they should let their guard down, but I do think we should be sure to let them know they can very well trust in---" Steve started when Billy shot his arm out in front of him. Billy tilted his head and motioned Steve to his left. Steve followed closely behind Billy as they finally reached an area where they found a building named Benny's Burgers.

"What is that?" Steve asked.

"Steve-- I've been held in captivity as long as you have been... actually longer." Billy spat at him.

"Yeah! Like one year! A year and a half tops!" Steve shot back at him as they slowly jogged over towards the place. They quickly found a back door, which was thankfully unlocked for them. Billy and Steve slipped through the doorway as quiet as possible then continued down towards where the smells were drifting from. They turned the corner where they entered the kitchen. Quickly, they hurried over towards the fridge and freezer and began pulling whatever they can out.

"Shit! Most of this is frozen." Steve mumbled, holding up a package of frozen burgers.

"We have Max to heat them up and Lucas can keep them frozen when we're not eating. It will be okay." Billy assured Steve as he continued to grab bottles of water and cans of soda.

"HEY!" Billy and Steve shot their heads up to look through a small window in the wall. They found a couple of people looking over at them, but one, who was standing in front of the group, was seething.

"Time to go." Steve mumbled.

Billy and Steve ran out of the kitchen, carrying all they could, and headed back the way they came. They had just gotten to the door when the owner grabbed hold of the collar of Steve's hospital gown.

"What do you think--" The man shouted until Steve locked eyes with him. Steve's eyes began to brighten into a shade of neon blue. The man's entire body stiffened under Steve's stare.

"You want to let me go... and you are to return to work, forget you've seen the two of us." Steve ordered the man. The man slowly released his grip from Steve before turning and heading back towards the kitchen. Once he was gone, Billy and Steve high-tailed it out of there not daring to look back.

"Hey guys! Check it out!" Dustin shouted out. Nancy walked towards where Dustin had went wandering off to find what he was talking about. It was a large, old steel works building, which seemed ready to fall over at any moment.

"What do you think? Would it work?" Dustin asked Nancy.

"Yeah, I think it will do nicely. It will need a good spit shine, but it will work." Nancy assured him before turning around, "Hey Robin! Go look for Steve and them! We've found our hideout."

Robin nodded her head before her body twisted and shifted into a bird. Robin fluttered her wings before she proceeded to fly through the trees. Nancy and the rest of them hurried inside the building. It was quite spacey, big enough for all of them to room perfectly along with adding additions to the building. There were a couple of flaws. A few of the windows were broken, the floor was covered with leaves and droppings, the ceiling had cobwebs and a couple of bird nests with a few pieces of the roof missing. There was also other bugs and animals crawling around the building.

"Okay, everyone. We've got a lot of work to do to make this place livable." Nancy said before turning over to Will, "You still have your crayons?"
