The crack of dawn poured overhead, causing Steve to groan as he crawled up onto his feet. He began to stretched as he watched Nancy and Robin start to toss and turn in their sleep. Steve jolted when he heard a loud snore causing him to glance down to see Dustin and Eddie all wrapped in each other's limbs as they were snoring so loud it was a surprise the others hadn't woken up yet. Steve finished stretching his arms as he started to lightly shake Nancy's shoulder. Nancy groaned as she slowly began sitting up. 

"Is everything alright?" she asked while she slowly got to her feet. 

"Yeah, it's all good, Nancy. I just thought we could start maybe deciding if we want to spilt up into two groups. Have one go searching for shelter and the other go looking for food." Steve suggested to her. Nancy shrugged her shoulders. 

"I think maybe the kids should go looking for the shelter because I feel like if they go looking for food, they might run into people and that could cause trouble for them. I don't want to imagine one of them being caught." Nancy stated, crossing her arms over her chest. 

"Yeah, but I think the group, who goes after food might need Mike. You know to use his power for stealth to obtain food... and maybe El and Max as extra manpower." Steve claimed to her, "But don't worry, they'll have me, Billy, and Eddie to be there if things get out of hand. I promise we will send them running if trouble shows itself. You and Robin can lead the others to go searching for shelter. It's so we're both even. Six to six." 

"Yeah that sounds good." Nancy agrees with Steve. 

"What sounds good?" Nancy and Steve turned their head to find everyone was starting to wake up. A few of them were still in a sleepy head situation while others were more alert. Billy was leaning forward, his arms on to of his knees as he was glaring at Nancy and Steve like he was wanting to jump at them and rip their throats opened. They didn't hate each other, but they did get on each other's nerves sometimes and it can get really awkward from time to time. 

"Okay, guys, Nancy and I have decided we're going to split up into two groups. Billy, Eddie, Mike, El, Max and I are going to be hunting for food and water. Nancy, Robin, Lucas, Dustin, Will, and Jonathan are going to go looking for a better hideout than this hole in the ground. Any questions?" Steve asked them. Dustin shot his hand up into the air. 

"Yes, Dustin." 

"What do we do if we lose each other? You know? How can one group contact the other if we're miles away?" Dustin asked them. 

"Simple. Lucas, shoot up an ice storm or something to show if you guys found shelter or get lost. Max will shot a firework up into the sky when we get food." Steve assured them. It was then everyone turned into an uproar. 

"Are you insane? We can't do that!" Robin asked. 

"That's the dumbest thing you have ever said, Steve!" Billy growled. 

"Wouldn't that tell the scientists where we are?" Will questioned. 

"Yeah! That's the kind of stuff they'll be looking for after all." Mike shot at Steve.

"Alright! Calm down! Calm down, everyone! I know it's risky, but we're going to have to take it." Steve confessed to them. 

"Or... we can remember, I have shapeshifting skills so I can turn into a bird and Eddie can turn into a whole group of bats or just the one at will and we can both fly to the other group and inform them where we are or if we get into some sort of trouble." Robin suggested to them. 

"Are bats even native around here?" Eddie asked while he began searching the skies.

"I think a bat will blend in way better and escape a prying eye than Max shooting up a fire bolt into the sky." Robin pointed out, "Everyone notices fire more than anything else. Everyone knows that." 

"That's actually a good idea... way better than mine." Steve said.

"You're welcome." Robin shot at him. 

"Okay then it's settles, everyone break into their groups and start heading out. I suggest maybe after about give or take five hours, we check in on each other." Steve ordered them all. One by one, everyone got up and began separating into their groups before heading into the other direction from each other.
