"Your mom is now living next door to you guys?" Steve asked while they were on a break for the basketball practice. All the teens were there, shocked with what Eddie had informed them which then Billy had confirmed. Billy was still fuming from last night. He couldn't believe his mother actually would show herself after what she did to them. 

Billy chug his water until he needed a breath. He swallowed it down before he let out another string of curses under his breath. 

"Yeah! Max and I had made our peace with never seeing that woman again. Now she is back in our lives!" Billy spat, "She has some fucking nerve showing her face after what she did to us." 

"Billy-- she probably didn't  do it on purpose. It's not like she knew where you and Max were." Nancy suggested to him.  She knew the moment she said it she was getting a heated glare from Billy. 

"She would have known where we were if she hadn't abandoned us with that jackass while she had the time of her life. I bet she partied all that time, drinking and sleeping around. Completely happy she had gotten rid of us without a second thought." Billy growled before taking another swig of his drink. 

"You don't know that--" Robin started when Billy scoffed. 

"Like hell I don't know that! She abandoned us so she can have a better life. She never cared for us! If she fucking did, she would have taken us with her. But she didn't... and I'll tell you why! It's because we weren't good enough for her. She probably has a new family of her own that is more to her liking. That's what it is." Billy hissed, "She abandon one family just to have another. How rich!"  

"Okay-- Billy calm down. Why don't you just talk to her? Get her to tell you why she left you." Steve suggested to him. 

"Because I know why she left us! I just said why. Do I have to fucking repeat myself?" Billy snapped. 

"Billy! There is no need to get hostile with us. We're just trying to help." Nancy shot at him, sternly. 

"I don't need any. I never want to see her again." Billy stated. 

"Kind of hard since she's literally right across the street from our house." Eddie pointed out to him. 

"Then she just needs to stay the hell away from me and Max and we'll be fine." 

"Uh-- what if Max wants to talk with her?" Robin asked him. 

"Why would she want to talk with the bitch?" Billy asked them. 

"Because she might want answers, Billy!" Nancy shouted at him, "You told us how you two were young when your mom left. She probably might have assumed the worst happened like she died. Now she sees her mom is fine and living next door, she is going to want some explanations to why she wasn't around."

"If you think I'm going to allow her anywhere near that bitch after the shit she did to us, think again, Nance." Billy spat at her. Before Nancy could argue with Billy, a whistle blew. 

"Break's over! Everyone back on the court!" Coach ordered them. 

"We got to go!" Steve told them. 

"Fine. Hey! Steve remember, you have to drop off Will and Mike home since Jonathan and I have a meeting with the newspaper committee." Nancy reminded him. 

"Oh! That reminds me. Billy, I'll be getting a ride home from one of my buddies. A couple of friends and I are creating a DnD club that we're calling Hellfire and also having a band meeting!" Eddie told Billy. 

"Shit! Nancy, I can't. I was about to ask you if you could take Dustin." 

"Why can't you take them?" Jonathan asked. 

"I have detention... which if Claudia asked, I'm tutoring someone." Steve said. 

"Detention? What did you do?" Nancy asked him. 

"I merely forgot my homework and the teacher is a complete jackass." Steve claimed. Nancy glanced over towards Robin. 

"Do you mind  taking the kids home?" Nancy asked her. 

"I can't! Band has practice tonight." Robin told her. 

"Shit, who's going to take the kids home then?" Nancy asked. Slowly everyone turned towards Billy. He sighed. 

"Fine! I'll take them." Billy mumbled. 

"Thanks, Billy." Everyone said. 

"MAYFIELD! HENDERSON! GET OVER HERE!" Coach screamed at them. 

"Shit, we got to go or else Coach will have us do laps." Steve said before rushing over to the other basketball players with Billy following behind him.
