"WILL!" El screamed while she kept trying to keep up with the pace of the vine. She could even see Will trying to slow down the vine by attempting to grab hold of the nearest objects in his reach. El ran so fast, she could feel her lungs burning inside her as they plead for her to take a rest. However, every time she had gotten close enough to them, the vine would tug harder and sent Will flying away from her grasp. She reached out her hands a couple of times to try and use her powers to destroy the vine. But again, she worried she would hurt Will if the vine moved too fast. So she kept running in hopes of catching up in time to get Will.

"WILL!" She cried out again when she saw the vine had somehow increased its speed again, and sent Will jerking out of her sight. El slowed down a bit to catch her breath. Her eyes darted around the area to see where they were in the first place. She found herself standing in the midst of the parking lot of the middle school. Why take him here, she thought to herself before jogging her way into the school.

El's heart pounded within her ears as her eyes darted around the hallway. She could see the entire place had been taken over by the vines as the place looked like it had aged centuries older than it was.

"Will!" She called out while she slowly made her way around the building. She did it so she could catch her breath but also so she didn't risk not spotting Will as she proceeded through. She looked inside a few classrooms, but found he wasn't there. She even checked the AV Room she knew the boys hung out lately, but he wasn't there either.

"Will!" She called out again. She made her way down another hall. She gasped. She could see Will was dug into the surface of the wall where he was entangled by numerous , large, thick vines that slithered around like they tightening their grip on him. One of which was attached to his mouth like a respirator mask. He laid as stiff as the dead with his head leaning back like he was resting his head after a long day.

"WILL!" She screamed as she rushed up to him. She wrapped her arms around the vines and struggled to pull Will out from his cage. She grunted as she kept pulling vine after vine off of him. She had taken off plenty of vines from him and was about to remove another one when she felt like something was watching her. She turned her head to peer over her shoulder. For a moment, she could have sworn she had seen a shadowy, thin figure off in the distant, but the place was so full of shadows she figured it had been her imagination.

Turning her focus back on Will, she continued pulling the vines away. She had grabbed the last vines until her attention shifted when she heard a light shrieking from behind her. Slowly, she turned her head. Her lips began quivering violently when she saw a creature standing barely a couple feet away from her. Her heart beating loudly in her ears she was sure the creature could hear it from where it was standing.

It stood up on its hind legs as it released another scream at her before it began making its way in her direction. El shot her hand out in front of her. The creature shot backwards, tumbling to the end of the hallway. It stood up for a bit, hissed, then began backtracking as it left El alone with Will. She waited a minute until she was sure the beast had left the area then turned her attention back on Will. She pulled as hard as she could on the vine that held onto Will's mouth; even pushing her foot up against the wall. She winced when she heard the ripping of the suction of the vines being torn off Will's face. El found herself falling backwards until she collapsed on the ground with Will falling beside her. She mumbled an 'ow' before she pulled herself up onto her knees.

"Will? Will, wake up." El called out to him as she tried to shake him away. However, he was as stiff as a board.

"Will! Will, please! Wake up... Come on, Will, wake up! Will!" El cried out while she began to rapidly shake him. Before she cold call out to him again, she was silenced by the sound of the creature's shriek... followed by a scream.
