School was back in session and the kids tried their best to be as normal as possible. However, it was hard with the thought of El not being around. Worst, the gossiping and whispering about them seemed to have increased due to her absent. Will, Dustin, Mike, Lucas and Max were walking outside the front door of the school when it was over and were heading in their usual direction where they would meet up with the older kids when...

"Hey! Look at the Freakshow!"

They turned their heads, beginning to curse under their breath, to see it was Troy and his friend walking over to them. Troy and his friends had been tormenting them since they were enrolled. However, they didn't tell anyone about it because they didn't want to worry anyone... especially the older kids since they were sure some of them might go killer mood on Troy's ass. How were they going to explain that to the adults?

"You're kind of missing someone, aren't you? Where's the Ditz?" Troy asked. They knew he was referring to El. Mike took a step forward, ready to give him a good slug, but his friends held him back, not wanting to get in trouble with anyone.

"I wonder who would make the most money?" Troy asked, while he began punching them against their chest, "Midnight... Frog Face... Toothless... The Fag... or Carrot--"

He started to reach out and punch Max in her chest but before he could touch her, she kneed him in his lower region. He doubled over and backed away, clutching his groin. Everyone around them now was standing around, watching and seeing what was about to go down before them. Troy shot his head up, his eyes glaring directly at Max.

"You bitch!" he screamed. He began to move towards them when--

"HEY!"

The kids turned to see Billy and the others storming over towards them. Billy rushed past them with Eddie, Steve and Jonathan following behind him. Robin and Nancy paused behind the kids as they pulled them back behind them. Troy and his friend began running with Billy chasing after them as the others were trying to get between Billy and the bullies.

"Come back here, you fuckers! You want to be a bunch of assholes, then come and face someone who'll fight back! Get over here and fight!" Billy screamed at them. However, Troy and his friends were hightailing it down the parking spot.

"They're gone! They're gone! Billy! Billy, they're gone! Cool it!" Steve advised him as he stood in front of Billy with his arms out in front of him to keep his own distance from Billy.

"Jackasses!" Billy spat as they hurried towards the kids.

"Lets get out of here before a teacher or someone gets here and calls the adults on us." Nancy advised them while she nudged Mike and Lucas in the direction to where their cars are parked. As they were heading to the cars, they continued discussing about the incident.

"What happened?" Nancy asked.

"It's Troy and his friend... they're just assholes. They've been like this since we all been here." Dustin admitted to them.

"They've been mistreating you guys that long and you didn't thought to come to someone and mention it?" Robin asked them.

"We didn't really want to upset you guys or the adults." Max admitted.

"We told Mr. Clark about it, but he explained to us there really isn't anything people can do. He states lots of people do not really see the harm it does to people." Lucas explained, "Also that since Troy is part of the basketball team, he has every teacher and adult on his side, who'll do everything to ensure he keeps playing on the team. He even told us how he and his family got threatened all because he gave Troy a grade he deserved and it was going to interfere with him playing at the basketball game."

"Talk about privilege." Eddie mumbled while shaking his head.

"That does not make sense. What's that going to teach him? That he can get whatever he wants. That's not how life works and he's probably going to see it firsthand when he gets out in the real world." Nancy stated.

"I'll tell you what, he won't have that long to learn. I'm going to have you guys carry around a switchblade if he keeps that shit up." Billy warned. Nancy shot him a glare.

"Billy! Violence is, in this case, never the answer. They could go to jail for that."  Nancy advised him.

"Self-defense Nance, self-defense." Billy told her.

"That's not the way to deal with this." Steve claimed.

"Thank you, Steve." Nancy said.

"They should trick him and his friends up to that area with the cliff and push them off. People will assume they were being dumb and fell off." Steve suggested, earning a glare from Nancy.

"STEVE!"

"I'm just saying..."

"Am I the only one with a rational mind here?" Nancy asked. Everyone shook their head 'yes'.

"I'm sorry, Nance, but you have to admit. Logic doesn't exactly go through these knuckleheads' minds.... if they do have them, that is." Jonathan stated.

"Yeah-- most of them think they're not doing anything wrong and don't feel at all guilty for it." Eddie stated, "Sometimes, you do have to get creative to make a point."

"By being violent?" Nancy asked them, "What? Do you guys want them to go to school with a gun and start shooting it up? How is that going to solve anything?"

"Well-- not that, Nancy, obviously. We don't want them hurting the other kids in there, but something has to be done to set them straight."

"There are plenty of other ways of dealing with a bully, guys. That don't result in violence." Nancy told them as they walked up to their car, "Now I don't want anyone thinking about any horrible revenge plan against Troy and his friends... you got me?"

Everyone mumbled a reluctant 'yes' then hopped into their cars. Nancy hoped they wouldn't try anything stupid as Mike and her got into the car. As she began driving them home, Nancy leaned over towards Mike.

"Don't worry, Mike. We'll make sure they face consequences for their actions. I'm sure Hopper can have a little talk with them." Nancy assured them.

"They insulted El." Mike mumbled. Nancy felt her heart shatter as she looked over to see anger and sadness lurking in his eyes.

"Bullies really are assholes." Nancy spat as she turned the corner while Mike nodded in agreement.

"Mike? Max? Anybody?" El called out as she walked around. She was unsure where she had gone too, but it was quite nosy. Cars were zooming up and down the streets as bright lights flickered across the dark skies. She hurried along the sidewalk, spinning around as she tried to make out her surroundings. She was sure she was no longer in Hawkins due to the many buildings lining around. She wasn't sure where she was.

"Mike! Max! Somebody!" She screamed again as she hurried across the street. She had reach the middle of road when suddenly a pair of bright headlights flooding around her as a car began heading in her direction.
