1. Cafe

"Not again" You mumbled to yourself as you struggled to quickly put your black converse shoes on. "Stupid shoes take forever to tie..."

Once you finally got them on you grabbed your bag from next to you and started running out the door.

You ran down the street and turned the corner, slowing to a brisk walk and smoothing your hair down before walking into the cafe.

"Hi everyone!" You said as you gave a closed eye smile and waved to the other girls behind the counter that were wearing black aprons.

"How do you manage to be late every time?" One of the girls asked as she put her hands on her hips. "You live around the corner"

"I had to drop off Haru's lunch" You said as you walked behind the counter. "I forgot to put it in his bag..."

The girl jokingly rolled her eyes. "Well, you're lucky that I own this cafe and that you're my friend, Y/n"

You smiled at her. "Yes I am, Hana! And you know I'm forever grateful for you!"

You went through a doorway and into the back room where all the girls kept their stuff and where the sink was to wash dishes. You grabbed your apron off its hanger and replaced it with your bag before putting the apron around your neck and tying it around your waist. You quickly put your hair up into a ponytail and walked back to the counter.

"Give me some tables" You said to Hana.

Hana smirked at you. "Your stalker is here again, so you can have his table- Oh! And he brought a friend today!"

She sneakily pointed over at a table towards the other end of the cafe where there was a man with black hair sitting with his back to you, his blonde friend was facing you guys but wasn't looking.

You chuckled at her joke and shook your head. "Don't call him that, he seems nice"

"Yeah, that's cause you don't notice how often he's turning his head to look at you" Hana said as she nudged your side with her elbow. "I wonderrrr what Daiki would do if he saw that"

"He wouldn't do anything because you're just exaggerating" You said as you grabbed a notepad and a pen.

Hana inhaled through her teeth and shrugged. "He's creeeeeppppyyyy"

You gave her a look and shook your head as you walked out from behind the counter. "You're delusssiiioonnallll"

You smiled as you walked over to the table with the two men and clicked your pen so it could write.

"Hello, how are you two this morning?" You greeted as you looked at each of them.

"Tired" The blonde man said. "Can you believe he dragged me out here this early? All to show me his favorite cafe?" He asked as he gestured to his friend.

You chuckled. "Well, it is a pretty great cafe"

The man with black hair gave his friend a death stare that you noticed right away.

"Alright..." You said awkwardly. "What can I get for ya?"

"Can I have a double shot of espresso?" The blonde man asked.

You nodded your head and made an 'mhm' sound, not bothering to write it down since it was easy to remember. You turned to the other man who was about to tell you what he wanted.

"Black coffee and a chocolate chip muffin?" You asked, it was his usual order that he got every time he was there.

"Can I just have the coffee for now?" He asked.
