The next time Aizawa woke up it was midafternoon. You hadn't woken him in the middle of the night for anything, so he figured he'd just go check on you now.
He left his bedroom in a black t-shirt and a pair of dark grey sweatpants. He made his way down the hall to the bedroom you were staying in and peeked through the door, pushing it a bit further open.
Haru was laying beside you and petting Cheese again.
"Haru" Aizawa said quietly as he walked over.
Haru rolled over to look at him.
"Are you hungry?" Aizawa asked, crouching down at the side of the bed so he was at Haru's level. "I can make you something"
Haru nodded his head. "Mommy's still asleep" He whispered.
Aizawa nodded. "We can let her sleep some more, she needs a lot of sleep"
Haru pouted and looked at you. "Is mommy gonna eat later?"
He nodded again. "When she wakes up I'll make her something too"
"Okay" Haru finally said as he raised his arms and reached for Aizawa.
Aizawa stood up and leaned over you, picking Haru up and then leaving the room to go downstairs to the kitchen.
"Do you know what you want to eat?" Aizawa asked Haru. He put him down on one of the chairs at the kitchen table.
Haru hummed as he thought. "I like eggs"
"Eggs" Aizawa repeated as he went to fridge and pulled out the eggs. "What kind of eggs?"
"Um... Chicken" Haru answered.
Aizawa nodded and smiled at the answer. "How do you like the chicken eggs cooked?"
"Um..." Haru thought again. "Like eggs, in the pan the way mommy makes them"
"Okayyy...." Aizawa said slowly. It was clear that Haru didn't know the right name for how he liked his eggs.
So Aizawa went ahead and started making them how he usually does, and when Haru came over and tugged on his pant leg, asking to see them, he picked him up.
Haru immediately whined. "Nooooo! Those aren't eggs!"
Aizawa looked at the scrambled eggs that were still cooking in the pan. "Not these eggs?"
Haru shook his head urgently. "Those aren't eggs!" His eyes started to tear up. "They're yucky!"
"These ones are for me" Aizawa quickly said, they weren't originally for him, but they are now.
"You eat yucky stuff?" Haru asked, wiping at his eyes.
"They aren't yucky" Aizawa said. "They're good with cheese"
"Cheese?!" Haru asked.
Aizawa chuckled. "Not the cat, the food cheese"
Haru pouted and shook his head.
"Okay" Aizawa said. He picked up the pan with his free hand and slid the eggs onto a plate, then he grabbed two new eggs. "Do you like the eggs that have the yellow all in the middle?"
Haru nodded his head. "Eggs are a white circle, with a little yellow circle on top. In the pan."
Aizawa nodded. "Okay, those are sunny-side-up"
Haru also nodded. "Yes! That's what mommy calls them!" He said excitedly, happy that Aizawa finally understood.
"Alright, let's make those for you" He said.
