7. Bored

"I'm telling you, Mic, she's literally perfect" Shota complained as he dragged his hands over his face.

He was sitting in the teacher's lounge, talking to Hizashi who was laying across one of the sofas and sipping from a water bottle.

"Shota, I know it seems really good and all" Hizashi started. "But she told you she's married!"

"But that's the thing!-" Shota exclaimed. "The other night I was patrolling and I saw her sitting on one of the bus benches with the kid, she was crying so I went to see if everything's okay. And Mic, I don't think it's a happy marriage"

Hizashi shook his head. "Even if it's not a happy marriage, ya wait until they get divorced or separated at least!"

"But what if she's in a position where she just can't right now?" Shota asked, hoping for the Hizashi to change his mind about the whole thing.

Hizashi shook his head again. "I'd wait until she was in a position where she could. It's just not right, man"

Shota sighed. "You don't get it"

"Shota, how would you feel if your wife cheated on you?" Hizashi asked.

Shota shrugged. "We don't know their situation"

"We can't just assume though" Hizashi said. "You don't even know that it's not a happy marriage, you're just assuming."

"But she's perfect!" Shota said again. "We were joking around and she asked to try my scarf so I let her. She put it on as if she owned the damn thing!"

"That's it?!" Hizashi asked. "That's all she did to make you suddenly fall in love with her?!"

Shota rolled his eyes. "That is not 'all she did' and I did not say that"

Hizashi shook his head disapprovingly. "If I were you, I wouldn't. But you can do whatever you want. Just remember that these kind of things don't usually end well"

"Trust me" Shota said calmly. "Everything will end perfectly"

Haru 'humphed' as he walked through the front door and into his home. He had his arms crossed over his chest and had a pout on his face.

"Eraserhead lied!" He exclaimed.

Daiki turned his head from the couch to see you and Haru. "That doesn't sound good"

"It's not good!" Haru confirmed as he walked over to the couch and leaned against it to talk to Daiki. "Eraserhead told me that he was gonna go to the cafe today-" He sniffled and wiped at his eyes, going from angry to sad really fast. "But he didn't! I didn't get to talk to him or see him!"

He burst into tears and just repeatedly wiped at his eyes.

"Come on, little man, it's nothing to cry about" Daiki said, it sounded like he was a bit more annoyed than comforting.

"Come here Haru" You called from the kitchen, where you had started making a meal that you had already prepped that morning. You were just plating things now.

Haru continued crying as he walked over to you, he held his arms up so you quickly finished everything and then picked him up.

"Remember Haru, Eraserhead is a very busy man" You said. You gently wiped at his tears with your thumb. "I know he said he'd be there, and it's upsetting that that wasn't true. But he's a busy man and something may have came up. It's okay, we'll see him another day."

"I don't want him to be busy" Haru said. "I like the cafe better when he's there"

"Who's Eraserhead again?" Daiki asked from the couch.
