"Daddy! Daddy!" Haru exclaimed as soon as you got the front door unlocked.
He ran inside the house and over to where Daiki was sitting on the couch.
"Daddy!" He said again. "I met Eraserhead and Present Mic!"
Daiki smiled at him. "Really?! That's so cool! Did you say hi?"
"Uh-huh" Haru said with a nod, his eyes still shining with excitement. "And they waved to me! And I gave Eraserhead a muffin!"
You walked over and ruffled Haru's hair. "Alright Haru, you have to have a bath before you go to bed so go to the bathroom and get ready, I'll be right there"
"Okay!" Haru said as he used his arms to push himself away from the couch and started running towards the bathroom.
"Who's Eraserhead and Present Mic?" Daiki asked you without taking his eyes off the TV that was playing one of the shows he liked.
You raised your eyebrows at him. "They're heroes." You said. "You should know that, Haru is obsessed with them."
You walked into the kitchen and started washing your hands.
"What's with the attitude?" Daiki asked. "It was just a question"
"A question that I would've hoped you would know the answer to" You muttered under your breath.
Daiki craned his neck to look at you from his spot on the couch. "What?" He asked.
"I didn't say anything" You lied and he went back to watching the TV.
You grabbed a paper towel to dry your hands and then opened the garbage to throw it out. When you opened the garbage you sighed.
"Daiki?" You said. "How many beers did you have?"
"Like two or three" He answered. "Including this one" He nodded to an opened beer that was on the table next to the couch.
You shook your head. You were looking down at way more than 'two or three' empty beer cans in the garbage.
"I thought you were stopping?" You said. "You told me you were stopping last week."
"Yeah" Daiki said. "But I can have one every once in a while!"
"That's not what stopping means." You said.
The TV went to a commercial and Daiki groaned as he got up. He walked towards you and you had to keep tilting your head back to look up at him as he got closer.
He was a big man, more than a foot taller than you. And he had muscles that made him at least 100 pounds more than you. His eyes were dark and his hair was dirty blonde.
He tossed his now empty beer can into the garbage can that you were still holding open with your foot.
"Look in the garbage" You said as you gestured to it. "Does that look like two or three?"
Daiki rolled his eyes. "Again with the attitude. And so what if I had more than two or three? I'm a grown man, I can do whatever I want."
You sighed and closed the garbage. "Okay... Moving on, you told me you were paying for Haru's daycare for the month the other day, and today I got called to pick him up because they didn't get the payment. Did you not pay?"
"I paid just last week!" Daiki said.
"That was two weeks ago." You corrected. "And that was for last month because we were late for that payment and they were kind enough to give us some extra time."
Daiki rolled his eyes. "Why do I gotta pay it? Why don't you pay it?"
"First of all, we're married so if one of us pays it we both pay it." You explained. "Second, Haru is also your responsibility."
