The next day you woke up before Daiki. You reached over him and grabbed your water bottle, drinking the rest of it. Your head only ached a little.
Last night in all honesty wasn't too bad as far as you could remember, when you get past the whole kidnapped thing. You got to talk to Daiki about Haru and what you could do to help with the pains his quirk comes with.
You had woken up in the middle of the night when you felt someone touching your hair, and when you rolled over you saw Daiki looking at you like he just got caught.
After that he shamefully asked you to use your quirk on him like he used to do a lot. You did it because you always felt a bit bad when he looked sad.
You looked over his face and sighed, being reminded of Haru again.
It made you feel a bit better to think that he was in Aizawa's care, it also made you feel bad because he was kinda forced to watch him.
Your stomach grumbled and began to ache with hunger. You figured you'd get up and eat a big breakfast, that way when Daiki inevitably made you drink again at least you'd have a full stomach.
You climbed over Daiki, not caring how much you touched him because you knew he wouldn't wake up that easily. It was still really early which meant Daiki was like a bear in hibernation.
But you touched something hard when you moved over him, and you knew that it wasn't normal.
You sat next to him on the edge of the bed now and looked at him when you had felt the object. You could see something outlined underneath his thin shirt.
You lifted the hem of his shirt and almost let out an audible gasp when you saw the pistol tucked into his sweatpants. You recognized it too, it was from work, or was it the same one? Now you weren't sure, it had been a while since you had last seen it. Years ago he used to wave it around when he'd start yelling too much, until after one incident you threatened to go to his dad unless he'd get rid of the gun, and so he did.
Until now apparently, because here it was.
You knew that he wouldn't want you to see it, that's probably the reason why he put you in the basement last night. He would probably move the gun after he woke up, maybe he'd hide it where ever he had it hidden before. You did want it to be out of sight, but you didn't want Daiki to be the only one with access to it.
It wasn't like you could just hide it yourself.
You frowned as you pulled his shirt back down and stood up off the edge of the bed. Then you went to the bathroom and then to the kitchen to get something to eat even though there was nothing to eat, just old cans of non perishables.
By the time Daiki woke up it was almost the afternoon. He walked into the living room where you were sitting on the couch watching TV.
You turned and first looked to see if you could still see the gun outlined at the bottom of his shirt. You couldn't, and so you assumed that he had hidden it somewhere, most likely in the bedroom.
The last morning he had woken up before you, and then when you did he made you drink first thing. You hoped he wouldn't make you drink now.
"Good morning" He said as he walked over to the couch.
"Good morning" You said back, because you knew if you didn't he'd start giving you weird looks and then get irritated.
He laid down, his head in your lap and his legs too long so they hung off the end of the couch.
It bothered you how normal he could act.
After a few minutes, Daiki hadn't moved at all and you thought he had fallen asleep again, but then he tilted his head back and looked up at you.
