9. Scrambled Eggs

"What that?" Haru asked as he looked at the bowl.

"Eggs" Daiki answered.

Haru looked at the bowl again. "Nuh-uh"

"Yes they are, they're eggs" Daiki said.

"No" Haru said. "They look weird"

"Well then they're weird-looking eggs." Daiki said. "Just eat them"

Haru pressed his lips together and looked away from the eggs.

"Haru" Daiki said sternly. "Eat the eggs. You asked me to make them."

"They aren't eggs!" Haru exclaimed while pointing at the bowl.

"Yes they are!" Daiki shouted back.

"I want mommy to make me eggs" Haru said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Mommy's not here!" Daiki said, he was already more frustrated than he should've been. "So eat the eggs! -Or do I have to feed them to you like you're a baby?"

"I'm not a baby!" Haru shouted.

"Then eat the eggs!" Daiki shouted.

Haru grunted and turned away from the eggs, sliding off the kitchen chair and going to walk away. But before he could get far Daiki grabbed him and put him back in the chair.

"You have to eat them because you made me make them" He said.

He picked up the fork and stabbed a piece of egg onto it and then held it up to Haru's mouth, but Haru kept shaking his head and babbling about how they looked weird.

Haru flailed his arms around and hit the bowl onto the floor, causing the eggs to spill out a bit.

Daiki clenched his teeth together and picked Haru up.

"No!" Haru shouted as Daiki carried him over to the high chair in the corner of the room. "No! I want mommy! I want mommy to make me eggs!"

Daiki didn't say anything as he put Haru into the high chair and put the tray in place tightly so he couldn't get out. Then he went and put the pieces of egg that had fallen onto the floor back into the bowl and put the bowl down on the high chair tray.

"Ow!" Haru tried to push the tray back because it was too tight against him.

"You're not leaving that chair until you eat all those eggs" Daiki said as he left the kitchen and walked into his bedroom.

Haru was still kicking and screaming, trying to get out of the high chair. His face was red from crying and his nose was all snotty.

"Mommy!" He screamed.

"She's not gonna help you!" Daiki yelled back from his bedroom.
