"Geez Y/n..." Keigo muttered. "Your stitches opened"
You groaned and covered your face with your hands, shaking your head. "Can you just sew them back up?"
"Sew them back up?!" Keigo asked, looking at you like you were crazy.
Maybe you were.
He had you sitting on a chair beside the couch. Haru was sitting on the couch and watching Keigo examine your wound even though he had turned the TV on for him.
Keigo was standing behind the chair and had his hand under your chin, tilting your head back a bit so he could see the stitches on the side of your head near your hairline.
When he saw the blood seeping through the bandages in the car he knew the stitches were no good.
"I'm sorry, mommy" Haru whispered.
"It's fine" You said, still with your hands over your face and the annoyed tone in your voice. "Keigo, just sew them up. You've gotta have some sort of skill for this, they had to have taught you the basics- And if not, then giving me the stuff and I'll do it myself, it can't be that hard."
Keigo exhaled loudly. "Uh- It is on your head and it can certainly be that hard. I do know the basics, but it's gonna hurt cause I don't have anything stronger than a cream to numb you. Let's just go back to the hospital."
You shook your head again. "I don't care how much it hurts, just sew it. I'm not going back to the hospital."
"Why not?" Keigo asked.
You just shook your head yet again.
"Mommy doesn't want to go to Eraserhead's house" Haru said quietly.
"What?" Keigo asked. "Why? I would think that's the first place you'd wanna go?"
"Haru, watch the TV" You said to Haru before speaking to Keigo again. "I'm not going to his house"
"I don't wanna watch the TV" Haru whined.
You lifted your head and looked at him. "We are not going to Eraserhead's house. Forget it."
His bottom lip quivered as his pout turned to a frown and then he started crying again.
Keigo rubbed your shoulder. "Be nice" He reminded you quietly so Haru couldn't hear. "I know it's hard right now, but it's not his fault" He patted your shoulder and left you both in the living room for a moment.
Keigo was right.
You looked at your baby and frowned at the way he was wiping his tears, trying to reach his broken arm up but not being able to. His tears fell onto the couch cushion beneath him, the tears you had just caused.
You opened your arms. "Come here, Haru"
Haru looked up at you, still frowning and crying as he slid off the couch and came over to you. You picked him up and sat him in your lap, then you put your hand against his head and held it against your chest as you hugged him.
"I'm sorry" You kissed his head. "I would've wanted to go to Eraserhead's house too, but we're gonna stay here for a bit, okay? I'm sorry for being mean."
Haru nodded his head but kept crying. "I'm sorry for hitting you, mommy. I didn't mean to, my feelings were too big and it was an accident."
You kissed his head again and rubbed his back. "It's okay, my feelings are big right now too, I understand. You just have to be a little more careful and I will too, okay?"
