5. Tutoring

You were up early the next morning to talk on the phone with Hana, asking if it would be alright for you to bring Haru to the cafe with you for the next few days because the daycare was full for the month.

Of course Hana said it was fine, she knew Haru was a good kid and that he wasn't usually disruptive or annoying. She even enjoyed having him there more often than not.

You were sitting at the kitchen table with Haru now, feeding him a cup of strawberry yogurt and a cut up banana.

"Morning" Daiki said as he walked into the kitchen in his work clothes.

"Morning" You said back as you put another piece of banana into Haru's mouth.

"Good morning" Haru said with the banana piece in his mouth.

Daiki went to the fridge and looked into it for something to eat.

"Take your lunch from yesterday" You said. "It's one of those containers"

He pulled out one of the containers and put it on the counter, then he closed the fridge door and just settled on having fruit for breakfast since he'd be late for work if he made something now.

"I'll pick you up from the cafe tonight" He said as he opened the front door.

"Okay" You said. You pointed at Haru's car seat. "Put the car seat in the car then since I'll have Haru with me"

Daiki grabbed the car seat and waved to Haru. "See ya later buddy"

"Bye daddy" Haru said as he waved back.

A couple minutes after Daiki left you finished feeding Haru. So you stood up and carried him into his room.

"Let's get you ready" You said as you pulled some clothes out of his dresser. "Do you want to try big boy underwear again?"

"Nuh-uh" Haru said.

You turned to look at him and frowned. "Are you sure? I'll take you to go to the bathroom if you have to go potty"

He shook his head. "I don't want to ruin them"

You crouched down and held his little hands in yours. "You won't ruin them, in fact, I bet they'll stay dry all day. I know you can do it."

He looked down at the floor and shook his head again.

You sadly nodded. "Okay... It's okay, you can wear a pull-up"

Haru quickly nodded and clapped his hands together when you went and grabbed him one. He started pulling his pajamas off.

You helped him into the pull-up when he was ready and then you helped him with the rest of his clothes.

"I'm gonna help the cafe again?" He asked as you walked to the front door.

"Yup" You said while unlocking the front door. "We need your help again"

"Okay!" Haru said excitedly.

You pulled your bag onto your back and then you held your hand out for Haru's. He quickly took it and then you both started the walk to the cafe together.

"Wow!" Hana exclaimed when she saw you walk through the door. "You're early?!"

You smiled. "Yup, better remember this moment because I don't know if it will happen again!"
