39. Cheese

When you approached Aizawa's car with Haru in your arms, he tapped your shoulder.

"I'll put him in the seat" Aizawa said as he started to take Haru from you.

You held onto him, and turned around to face him. "A car seat?"

Aizawa nodded.

You let him take Haru and watched as he opened the back car door, sure enough there was a car seat strapped in.

"Oh" You said quietly. "You have one?"

Aizawa nodded again. "Recently got it"

You watched him strap Haru in and then you both got into the car as well.

Aizawa handed you some papers.

"What are these?" You asked as you looked over the one on top. It had Haru's name on it and right after you read his name you realized it was the hospital papers, giving a list of everything that was wrong.

"Hospital papers" Aizawa answered as he started driving.

You read over Haru's paper. Luckily the only thing he had was a broken arm. The papers also listed all the tests they did to figure out what was wrong and the care that they followed to help his arm, you were able to see that he had x-rays and cat scans and all sorts of other things.

After you finished reading his whole paper you put it down on your lap and sighed.

"You didn't read your paper?" Aizawa pointed out.

"Oh" You said quietly as you flipped to that one and picked it up.

As you read you saw that you had a lot of the same tests done as Haru, your results were just different.

"Major concussion?" You read confusedly. You shook your head. "That has to be wrong, I just have a headache"

"Y/n, you have stitches in your head" Aizawa reminded you. "You are so lucky that it's just a major concussion and not a traumatic brain injury"

You put your paper down and shook your head again. "It's just a headache."

"You are still running on pure adrenaline" Aizawa explained. He glanced in the rear view mirror and pointed his thumb at Haru. "See? He's already asleep. The sun is up, you need rest."

You turned in your seat and looked at Haru. He was fast asleep with his head against the side of his car seat and his thumb in his mouth.

You were a little confused as to why he was sucking his thumb, it's not something he had really done before.

"I slept in the hospital" You reasoned.

Aizawa shook his head. "That doesn't count"

"It's just a headache" You said again. You closed your eyes and sighed. "Just a headache..."

The next time you opened your eyes, the car door was open and Aizawa was standing beside you, lightly rubbing your shoulder. He was holding Haru who was now just barely awake.

"We're here" He said. "Can you walk?"

You nodded your head and unbuckled your seat belt, stepping out of the car and holding onto Aizawa's hand that he was offering you. He helped you walk up to his house and unlocked the door, pushing it open and letting you walk in first.

You looked around, it looked the same as the last time you were here.

"Is the girl here?" You asked.

Aizawa shook his head. "She's at the school dorms with some of the third years, they're able to watch her when I can't"

You nodded your head, feeling bad for taking Aizawa away from her and occupying his time.
