I'm back!! I'm out of school today, Friday and Monday for Labor Day.
Evie:
"Evie! For the millionth time, wake up! You're going to be late and I'm going to leave without you," I heard Diana's voice. I groaned, flipping over onto my back. I looked up at her as she towered over me with her arms crossed and gave me an eye roll.
"Okay, okay. I'm up."
"Finally," she responded. I got dressed and put on dark blue skinny jeans, a light gray t-shirt with a brown leather jacket and matching brown leather wedge heeled boots. I straightened my long brown hair and applied mascara and eyeliner.
"Okay, I'm ready to go," I laughed. Diana drove us to the school and Adam approached us as we got out of the vehicle.
"Are you girls doing better after Friday night?" He asked.
"Yeah, we're good. I checked on Melissa last night, she's staying with Nick for the time being," Diana responded.
I scoffed, "As if she hasn't been the last like two months."
"What?" Adam asked.
"Melissa and Nick have a thing. And I'm guessing this means their talk Friday night ended on a good note," Diana said.
We walked to our lockers, and I grabbed the book I'd need for English. My petite blonde friend came up to us with a bright smile on her soft little face."Guys. So I looked in my mothers old high school yearbook that was packed in a box with some of her things, and I found a picture of that guy, Zachary Larson, with my mother and Heather Barnes. I think he liked her, or they were dating or something. Anyways, I searched her up online and it took some searching, but I found out she lives with her brother Wade outside of town."
"So?" Diana asked. "We can't just go up to a random person's house asking to see someone."
"That's exactly what we're gonna do," Cassie replied.
"Well, I'll go with you," I said. "You shouldn't go there alone otherwise your magic won't work."
"I will too, both of you have a better chance if another circle member is with you," Adam added. Diana seemed annoyed, but didn't say anything about it.
"You three have fun then," Diana said as she turned around and walked away. I sighed, but nonetheless allowed her to leave. I know she doesn't like Adam helping Cassie with stuff, even something regarding her mother or anything witchy.
"Alright, just meet me at my truck after school and I'll give you both a ride. We'll even stop by the boathouse and I'll make you a latte," Adam smiled at me.
"I'd never ask anyone else," I smiled back. We walked to class and the day went by. I ran into Diana and Faye in the hallway as I was headed to Adams truck.
"Hey sis," Faye said.
"How are you doing?" I asked her.
"I'm alright, mom has been trying to figure out who that guy was and what he wanted the night of the dance."
"Well she isn't really going to, I took the knife he attacked Cassie with."
"What?!" Diana asked with a raised voice. We carefully looked around, and then Faye told her to be quiet.
"Yes Diana, I wasn't going to leave it there for Dawn or someone else to find. Look, I really gotta go right now, I have something to do with Cassie and Adam, but I'll call you later okay?" I told Faye, she nodded and then I headed off. I made it to the truck where Adam was leaned against the back talking to Cassie.
