I don't know how many more chapters I'm going to do after Blackwell's death.

Adam:

"What did she say?" Melissa asked as I got off the phone with Evie.

"They know where Jake's crystal is. We can get there quicker though, so I'd say get a jacket. We're going into a mine."

We pulled up to the mine, my truck coming to a stop. It definitely looked abandoned. Construction equipment was everywhere. We got out of the car, our boots creating footprints in the slightly damp dirt. It had recently rained.

"Let's hurry up, it's almost dark," Melissa said. We went into the mine. It was dark, with only a few lights here and there though we had brought flashlights. We walked for what felt like almost an hour until we got to a fork.
"Which way?"

"Go right," I said.
We got to a hole and stopped. There was a ledge above with a rope going down into the deep black hole. Melissa threw a rock, and it took a few minutes before it hit what I'm assuming was the bottom. Damnit.

"What do we do?" She asked. I grabbed hold of the rope, tugging on it. It was sturdy. I kept my hands on it and backed up.
"Adam what are you doing?"
And then I swung across.
"Adam!"
I landed then I tossed her the rope.

"No," she said.

"It's okay, I'll catch you."
She hesitated but then began walking backwards. Then she ran, and jumped. Her feet caught the edge, and she shrieked. My hands grabbed hold of her waist, and I pulled her up. Her body hit my chest and I helped her stand straight.

"I hate you for making me do that," she said as we kept walking. We slowly came to a wall, a dead end.
"Well what do we do now?"

"We go straight," I replied.
We headed back, and got to the broken part of the ground. I saw a shimmer, and looked up. I laughed, of course. The crystal was above the ledge.
"I'm going to lift you up, okay?" Melissa nodded. I grabbed her by her waist, and lifted her. Her hands grabbed hold of the ledge to prevent her from falling, and she reached one hand up.

"Got it!"
I set her back down, and she held her hand out. Sure enough, she had the crystal. She grabbed the rope, and I swung her across. She tossed it back to me, and before my feet hit the other side, the ledge snapped.

"Adam!"
I held on to the edge, and she reached down to help me up. I finally managed to get onto the edge, breathing heavily at the amount of strength it took to keep myself up.
"Are you okay?"

"Yep," I said. She took my hand and got me off the ground. We came back to the fork where we had turned, and went towards the exit. There began to be noises bouncing off the walls of the mine. Melissa grabbed my arm, keeping close. I knew she didn't want to go in here, and now she had reason to.
A man appeared. He was tall with shoulder-length wavy brown hair and a shaved face. He had green or blue eyes, however, it was hard to tell.

"Callum," Melissa said. She was scared. This was the guy who got her addicted to Devils Spirit. Yeah, I found out. And to say I was mad would be an understatement. We all cared for each other like family, and I grew up with Melissa. What he did to her infuriated me. And she almost died from it.
After the overdose, she strictly shut him down. And I guess this was his revenge.

"Give me the crystal," he said.

"What are you talking about? What crystal?" I asked.
A silver object came into view, a gleam from the light above on the metal. He had a gun. The mine was made of iron, which blocked our magic. Evie had told us after the others went to Jake's grandfathers place.
