Happy Veterans Day, even tho it was yesterday, I don't know if any would be reading this but I said it anyways.

Evie:

"Kaden?" I asked in surprise. Kate agreed to help us wipe Kaden's memories, and he hasn't been seen here since. Until today.
He had fury in his deep brown eyes, and roughly grabbed my arm, pulling me into an empty classroom.

"Kaden, let me go," I said. He let go of my arm, and I stumbled for a moment. He turned around and locked the door, then stalked towards me.

"Where's Luke? And what did you do to me?"

"I seriously don't know what you're talking about Kaden," I replied. I dialed Faye, and slid my phone back into my back pocket.

"Don't lie to me!" He yelled, throwing me into one of the tables. It was a science lab, so glass beakers and vials fell off and shattered.
As he came towards me, I lifted my bleeding hand from the glass and used my dark magic to throw him back against the chalkboard. I got up off the floor as the others came to the door. They used magic to unlock the door and came inside.

"Are you okay?" Faye asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. Guys, his memories didn't go away. He still knows we had something to do with Luke's 'disappearance' and that we did something to his mind."
We heard growling and turned to face where Kaden was. But he wasn't. Out of nowhere Diana was thrown forward, the rest of us looking behind us where Kaden now was.

"Find something!" Adam yelled as he tackled Kaden.
Melissa handed Adam a beaker, and Adam used it to smash on Kaden's head.

"Don't kill him," Cassie said.

"What else are we supposed to do? And besides," Adam said as he hit Kaden with the beaker again, "It's self defense."
We stood in silence as Kaden became unresponsive, blood trickling from his nose and head. I lifted my hand to my mouth in shock that we had killed a person to protect our secret. I began to taste blood from where the glass had cut my hand.

"We killed him.." Cassie whispered. "We murdered a human being. What the hell are we supposed to do?!"

"Relax," Faye responded with a shaky voice. "I'll go find my mother."
Faye quickly bolted out of the room, and the rest of us just stood there. Adam slowly stood from Kaden's still body and backed away.

"Is everyone alright?" Adam asked. I nodded, crossing my arms.

"No, I'm not alright!" Cassie replied with tears in her ocean blue eyes. She walked to the other side of the room for distance and sat on a table next to the large windows.
Faye came back with Dawn, who gasped when she walked through the door.

"It's okay, we'll clean this up. Everything will be fine I promise," she said as she hugged me and Faye.
When the mess was cleaned, which was hard since we were in a school, we carried on with our day. When the bell for dismissal rang, I went to the gym. I met Sally, Cassie and Diana in there. Adam had to work before the dance, so he couldn't stay.

"Hey! Thanks for helping by the way," Sally smiled.

"No problem," I replied. Sally put me and Cassie in charge of getting tables ready while Diana would help her set up lights and other hanging decorations.
As Sally walked off she yelled at the male helpers because she didn't like where they put one of the large ice sculptures. Cassie and I laughed as we got to work.

"So is Jake coming?" Cassie asked as we laid a red tablecloth with orange flames over the round wooden table we were working on.

"Yeah," I responded as I evened out the tablecloth. "Are you going with anyone?"
