This weekend is very boring.

Evie:

I got ready for Jane's funeral. I wore a cute black lace off-the-shoulder mini dress with black heeled boots. I added a silver triple layered necklace with flying birds, four stacked silver bracelets, and hoop earrings. I curled my hair and did neutral makeup.
I walked through the wide open front door of Cassie's home. There was a stand as soon as you walked inside with a picture of Jane on it. Behind it was her black casket, closed with white flowers atop of it. People held conversations throughout the house, and I found my friends out back. I joined them, closing the door and then standing next to Jake as his arm went around my waist.

Everyone was dressed in black. Cassie a simple ruffled sleeveless dress, Diana a lace dress that hugged her body, Adam and Jake both suits, Melissa a black sleeveless dress with a black jean jacket over it, and Faye a gothic black corset lace dress with fishnet tights and combat boots.
"How are you doing?" Diana asked Cassie.

"I'm fine, just trying to avoid all the 'I'm sorry's'."

"Yeah," I muttered. "I know the feeling. I know people think it helps us but really it just makes us feel pitied and helpless."
I took Cassie's hand, and squeezed it. "We're all here for you."

She smiled softly, "Thank you."
The funeral went as expected. People apologized to Cassie for her loss and those who knew Jane more personally gave Cassie hugs. A few had even brought her gifts. When it was over, we stood in the living room as Cassie waved out the last of the guests and shut the door. She sighed exhaustingly and suck into the red and gold designer couch.
"This was such a tiring day."

"Why don't you get some rest okay? I'll come check on you tomorrow. Call me if you need anything," Diana told her. Cassie nodded and gave each of us a hug.

"Thank you all for being here," she said.

"Oh, of course, Jane was a lovely woman," I responded. She truly was, and it was sad how devastatingly she had died. A witch cruid. She had been murdered by someone tying up their loose ends. But as Cassie walked over to the stairs, I stopped her. A sudden realization coming to my mind.
"Where's Blackwell?"

"Everyone still believes he's dead," Adam replied.

"You think with his daughter's loss he would show up to comfort her no matter the costs," Faye said in agreement to me.

"He texted me earlier today," Cassie said softly and then continued up the steps. We heard her bedroom door close, and we all left.
We walked to our vehicles, and stopped to talk.

"It's not the time but prom is coming up next week," Diana said. "I thought maybe it'd be a good distraction."

"That sounds fun," Melissa replied.

"Oh," Faye said, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a crystal, "found this in my mom's purse. I believe it belongs to you."
She handed it to Diana.

"Thank you."
Jake and I headed back to my house, and hung out for the day.

"I can't believe we have the last crystal," he said as we laid on our backs on my bed.

"Me neither. Now we create the crystal skull and fulfill our plan and then get rid of Blackwell, which I know will ruin Cassie."

"You really think Blackwell killed Jane?"

"Yes," I replied. "I do. He was probably the one controlling her mind and once her memory started coming back, she remembered. Either she tried to kill him first and he beat her to it or he killed her without Jane even having a fighting chance. Either way, I believe he did it."
