My cats love didn't last long :(

Evie:

I woke up to my phone buzzing. I sleepily groaned, picking my phone up and answering it. "Hello?"

"Hey sleepyhead, school starts in thirty. Where are you?"
It was Diana. Her question alerted me, and I realized I wasn't in my bedroom. My head ached, and events from the previous night flooded back to me.

"I'm at Jake's," I replied. I was propped on my left elbow, my phone pressed against my ear. I looked behind me, and saw Jake still peacefully asleep.
"Listen Di, I don't think I'll be at school today. I have a hangover."

"That's alright, meet me at the boathouse later okay? I'll give you the answers and notes."
She hung up, and I put my phone onto the dark wooden nightstand. I fell back onto the bed, and closed my eyes.

"What was that about?" They shot open, and I turned my head. Jake was awake, looking at me.

"Diana asked where I was, told her I wouldn't be there today. Did I wake you?"

"No," he smiled softly, placing a kiss on my forehead.
"Hangover huh? Maybe you shouldn't have had like ten drinks."

"Hey, you were there, I was barely even tipsy," I responded. He chuckled, moving stray strands of hair behind my ear and then he dropped his hand to rub against my bare arm.

"Sure," he smiled. He pulled me against his exposed torso, and I nestled my head into his chest. Despite the cold of the room from the fan and partially opened window, he radiated warmth.
I shrieked when he suddenly rolled us over, my back firmly against the mattress as he held himself up above me. His arm muscles and toned abs flexed as he held his weight. His silky blonde hair hung over his deep ocean blue eyes. He lowered himself, bringing our lips together. Every touch of his hands were like a lightening rod sending shocks throughout my body, my nerves flaring.

Jake and I spent pretty much the entire day in his room. He had held my waist when I told him I had to leave to put on fresh clothes and meet up with Diana. We had a short make out session and then he let me go, and I drove back to my house. I showered and changed into clean clothes.
I wore gray low waisted ripped jeans with a black cami tank top and black heeled boots.

I walked towards the boathouse as I heard the horn from locking my car. I strode up the steps and entered, hearing the little bell at the top ding. I found Diana sitting at a booth with Cassie and Adam. I sat down, next to Adam who slid over a coffee cup.
"Thanks."

"Where's your hangover?" Diana chuckled. I glared at her, sipping my latte. She handed me four papers. One being an assignment for chemistry, the other three being English notes.

"Thank you."
I hung out with them for a bit as I copied the work my brunette friend gave me. I handed them back to her and took another drink of my latte. It had been a couple weeks since the fire/ice winter dance occurred, and so far we haven't had any more problems.

"So Valentine's Day is coming up," Diana began. "Faye's holding a slumber party at her house for the girls. Are you coming?" She asked me.

"I don't know," I shrugged. Jake and I haven't talked about it, so I'm unsure if he wants to make plans for Valentine's Day.
"I might."

"Okay," Diana responded.
The bell chimed, followed by the clicking sound of heels. I looked towards the door, seeing Faye. She was dressed in a gothic dark dress with a corset top, fishnet tights, black high heeled boots, with dark eye makeup. She found us, walked over, and sat beside Diana.

"How did things go with Lee?" I asked her.

"Fine," she responded shortly. "No hard feelings."
I eyed her suspiciously, then ignored it. My phone buzzed, and I took it out of my right back jean pocket. Diana and the others began a conversation but it was inaudible to me.
