I think I'll write the last chapter today.

Evie:

"I think I might be pregnant."

I gasped, bringing my hands up to my mouth. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah," she nodded. "I've taken like ten tests."

"Oh my god," I said. "Oh my god! Oh this is so amazing. You're going to be a mom."

"I'm going to be a mom," she laughed teary-eyed. "Wow, where has the time gone? It feels like yesterday we were just kids."

"I know. Six years later and here we are. I'm getting married and you're having a baby."

"I have to tell Grant."

"You two will be great parents."

"I wish my dad was here to see it," she muttered. "He should be here."

"Di, he died so that you could be here. Carry out his wish and live a full happy life."
I hugged her, and then we went shopping for my wedding tomorrow.

Today's the day. I sat on the bed in my room, and the door opened. Cassie, Diana, and Faye walked in.
"Who's ready to get married?" Cassie asked.

"I better get to catch the bouquet," Faye said.

I laughed, "Noted."
Faye worked with my hair, while Diana did my makeup. Diana asked why Cassie wasn't helping and in her words she said, 'I'm perfecting the dress.'

We were done in an hour. My long dark brown hair was curled and it was tied half up with a white ribbon; my bangs framed my face. My makeup was my usual style just more bold, a gold, brown and black glittery smokey eye. Diana did black eyeliner above and under my eyes and applied comfortably good length fake eyelashes. Faye clapped with a smile.
"Time for the dress."

It was gorgeous. Before I moved to Chance Harbor six years ago, I never thought I'd fall in love and get married. My adoptive parents were too isolated and paranoid for that. I can hear them now telling me, 'He could be a killer,' 'He could be a stalker,' 'Have you seen if he has a criminal record? Bad background?' Is he this? Is he that? A cheater? Liar?
But everything turned out to be the opposite.

The dress was simple, but elegant. A nice tulle skirt while the top was embroidered with lace. The white dress had thin spaghetti straps and a v-neck- ironically Jake's style. I added strap-up rhinestone heels, the silver intertwined heart necklace my mother gifted me, and three stacked silver bracelets. It was already the happiest day for me and I wasn't even at the start of the aisle yet.
"She's ready!" Faye called out.

My mother walked in, a bright smile on her face as she took in my appearance. Dawn gave me up as a child, but that was to protect her secret; that I was another Blackwell child. Instead, I was given to Lucy and Alaric Greene, my adoptive parents who raised me in Portland, until their deaths seven years ago.
"Something borrowed?" She asked, handing me a black box tied in a cute red ribbon. I opened it. Leafy aquamarine teardrop earrings that matched the promise ring set on my right hand and the engagement ring on my left.

"And something blue. Thank you mom," I smiled. Faye put the earrings in and fluffed up my hair.

"Are you ready?" She asked.
I nodded as we all stood together and got ready to leave the room.

"Wait, one more thing. Walk me down the aisle?"

My mom smiled and grabbed my hand, "Of course."
We got in Faye's car and drove outside of town. Jake and I chose our wedding to be at the most special place, our place. The lake.
