I went swimming yesterday. The south has to get this heat under control, it's way too hot to breathe.

Evie:

"Here you go Luna," I said as I set her food down. I took a shower, dried my hair, put on a little makeup and then got dressed. I wore a floral tank top, blue jeans, black flats and put on a black cardigan. It's September and being up north makes it feel colder than it is, so I dressed more warmly than I did yesterday.
I drove to the school and found Diana and Adam waiting for me next to my locker.

"Hey guys," I said.

"Hey. How are you doing?" Adam asked.

"Better."

"Have you talked to Faye?" Diana asked.

"No. And I won't. I get she didn't do anything wrong and she's probably just as upset and shocked as I am, but Faye is Dawn's other daughter, the daughter that she wanted. I'm not really ready to be around her yet," I responded.

"That's understandable," Adam replied. The door to the main office opened, and Dawn walked out. She scanned the hallway and found me.

"Guys I'm gonna go, okay? I'll see you in class," I said as I walked off. I didn't want to see Dawn and I didn't want to talk to her.

Adam:

"We need to tell Nick, Cassie and Melissa that Evie is Faye's sister," Diana said.
We were going to yesterday after we found out, but I suddenly thought otherwise and told her that maybe we should wait another day or two to give Evie and Faye time to adjust, however, I just really didn't want to tell the others someone else's secret. I want to bind the circle as much as Diana but we can't right now, Evie is an emotional wreck and if we try to push Faye she'll just do something reckless, like try to kill someone who makes her mad again.

"No," another voice responded. It was Faye.

"Faye we have to bind the circle, and we need Evie to do it. We have to tell Melissa, Cassie and Nick and then we need to tell Evie she's a witch."

"Again Diana, no."

"Diana, maybe we shouldn't just yet," I said. Diana looked at me as if I just betrayed her.

"Adam we have to! We have to bind the circle and to do that we have to tell the others about Evie and Faye and how we know she's a witch now."

"I agree with Adam for once. It's not your information to tell, it's mine and Evie's and we all know she's going to want to keep this to herself for now. Besides, she just got the biggest bomb of her life dropped on her all on her first day here, she doesn't need to know she's a witch yet." Faye walked off mad.

"Why'd you go up against me and side with her?" Diana asked as if she was offended.

"Because Diana, binding the circle is not as important as Evie's feelings. It's not right to tell three people that Evie is Faye's sister without asking for her permission and going behind her back about it. Faye's right, I've only known Evie a day but she trusted us with this, and with her feelings. Who are we to just throw that away and tell others about her situation?"

"You're right, you're right. It's just dangerous if we don't bind the circle Adam. Faye lit Cassie's car on fire and locked her in there, she created a storm that even she and I together couldn't stop, and then she almost killed Sally."

"I get what you're saying, I do, okay? I promise, the others will find out soon but for now just let Evie have her privacy."

"Okay."
I took Diana's hand and then we walked to class. If we broke Evie's trust, then she wouldn't trust us when we tell her she's a witch and then she'll hate us after we prove it. I don't want to have another situation like Cassie where she's in denial and only binds the circle to keep Faye's power under control and says she doesn't want to be a part of this, in which she has no choice. Plus, I don't want to hurt Evie by my hand even more than she already is because of Mrs. Chamberlain.
