I said I wouldn't write another chapter tonight but I'm bored so, guess what? I'm writing another.

Evie:

I got up, took a shower and then got dressed for the school day. I wore a colorful and loose spaghetti strap crop top, ripped blue jean shorts, brown crisscross open-toe block heels, and a gold dreamcatcher necklace. After school today, the circle is having a meeting at the abandoned house to discuss the situation regarding Heather Barnes and what we plan on doing with the information Cassie, Adam, and I gathered yesterday.
Diana and I rode to school and parked. Today was a rainy day, the asphalt was wet and the sky was cloudy. The wind was blowing in from the water on the docks that was around the block.

"Hey guys," Cassie said as she approached us.

"Morning Cassie," Diana responded. "Melissa and Nick aren't at school today because they have hangovers but they'll still meet us at the abandoned house later."

"Okay. Have you seen Adam?"

Diana's tone turned bitter. "No, I talked to him last night. Thought you would know."

I elbowed her in the arm and whispered over to her, "Don't, Diana."
She took a breath, and recomposed herself. Adams blue jeep rolled by us and parked next to Diana's car that seemed like an ant compared to his vehicle. He hopped out, and came to stand by us. He gave Diana a kiss on the cheek, stirring up an unfamiliar feeling in me.

"We still hitting up the boathouse before meeting up later?" He asked me.

"Always," I smiled. He was referring to my signature coffee order.

"You and your lattes. I'm surprised you didn't change Luna's name to that," Cassie laughed and rolled her eyes.

"It was tempting," I replied. The day went by as usual, nothing too abnormal. The schooldays aren't really as eventful. We headed over to the boathouse and then I sipped on my coffee as Diana and I rode behind Cassie's car and Adam's truck. We pulled up to the abandoned house where we saw Nick and Faye's cars. We went inside and upstairs to the little loft area and all took a seat.

"So what exactly is this meeting about?" Faye asked.

"Remember Zachary Larson? The guy who attacked Cassie at the dance?" Diana asked. Faye, Melissa, and Nick nodded.
"He's connected to Heather Barnes, both of them were friends with Cassie's mom in high school. He said Amelia did something to her worse than death."

"So I tracked her down, and we went to her house where she lives with her brother. There's this spell called a suppression sigil spell, using one of multiple unknown sigil symbols. This one has a reversal spell, which is created by the spell makers blood. I want to wake Heather and find out what happened that day."

"I don't think it's a good idea," Diana stated.

"Me neither," Melissa added.

"Let's vote," Adam said as he stood up straight from leaning on the old wooden walls, putting his hands in his front jean pockets.
"All in favor of leaving Heather alone, raise your hand."
Diana threw hers up, followed by Adam, Melissa, Nick... and me. Cassie sighed, knowing she was outvoted. She got up and went outside, me following her.

"Cassie, Cassie wait!" She stopped and turned around.
"I don't want you to think I betrayed you or anything, I promise I didn't intend to. But Diana is right, we don't know what we're dealing with. What would we be unleashing by reversing the spell? Amelia had to have had a reason for doing this to her best friend."

"I know, and you're all right. But, Evie, we are so close. So close to finding out the truth about the fire, and what happened to our parents. It could tell me what happened to my mom."
